Good moaning.

I'm on the laptop, because the temptation to procrastrinate is marginally smaller on this machine.

Just a friendly reminder that if you haven't grabbed the binding of Isaac... DO IT, DO IT NOW!

And I think I've grabbed all the penny games I want... There's still one or two left, but *GASP* I'm being judicious about it. I'm thinking somebody might have gotten into my brain.

Oh, and do give Cthulhu saves the world a try.

I totally read that as "temptation to procreate" lol
*Lifts head from computer desk, waves clumsily*

Good morning, folks! Having a bit of trouble waking up this morning. Too tired for making coffee, but we'll get there. :)

I entered a photo in a halloween costume photo contest being held by the monthly record club I'm in, as I have no shame, and winning would mean $100 credit to spend in their store. There aren't too many members on the forums there, so my chances of winning are by default not-too-awful, but I'm a good five or six votes behind the current winner. Sadly, votes can only come from forum members, and forum members have to be active members of the club. Contest closes in less than 6 hours, so it's doubtful I'll catch up enough to win, but it was worth a shot. This reminded me though that this isn't the first time I've let my lack of shame work to try to win me stuff... when I worked in a call center for a health insurance company, I dressed up as Carmen Miranda for a costume contest one year, just because it seemed like a good costume for shock value / getting attention in that environment, and the first place prize in the contest was a portable cd player (and my cd player at home had just broken, so I HAD TO WIN.) I did end up winning, and used the hell out of that little cd player for years. ;)

I've gotten quite far in Dragon Age: Inquisition, and realized I was nearing the end of the main "story" quests, so I'm now just going area by area and clearing maps, wrapping up side quests. This is the point where the game feels most like an MMO, as I'm focusing so much on the less exciting / story-focused quests, but I get a nagging feeling that I'm missing something important if I skip entire areas or leave things unexplored in an rpg like this. I'm sure I won't collect all the damn shards and mosaic tiles, but I'll likely do most of the other side quests and dlc quests before wrapping up the campaign.

My computer has started acting out like crazy, and it seems both my system disk and secondary hard drive may both be dying on me, along with a few other parts I knew I was having issues with. As we were planning on getting new systems by the end of the year, the lady told me to go ahead and pull the trigger on mine. I placed an order this weekend and I'm quite excited. This machine has been good to me, but it's seen better days, and an upgrade will be quite nice. Going to try and spend the next week or two cleaning up my computer desk and surrounding area as much as possible (it's a bit of a nightmare in here, with all the flat surface real estate spoken for in some mad bid for space... it's good to have an inspiring excuse to clean up some of the "clutter disaster" stuff I usually ignore when trying to tackle the "do you want ants? because that's how you get ants!" cleaning... clutter is something I just stop noticing after a time, partly because I prefer for everything to be out where I can see it so I don't completely forget things exist at all. ;)

I hope you're all doing well today, and that you all have a great week!

*hugs everyone* :)
No weekly staff picks yet, that could mean we're in for something BIG.

Or it could mean nothing at all.
Got the beer ready for the birthday today, now just need brother to show up with the tequila among some other things.
Good m...afternoon, favourite thread !!
**Big happy hugs with coffee**
I hope you're all doing great and spent a nice weekend !! :))

The big question on everyone's mind now is...

With or without WORM?!
Had to give myself a friendly reminder today that throttling a professor is unlikely to get me this degree any faster ...
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. Hope you're all doing at least okay so far. =)
hello! tried this insomnia thing - I practiced for the Imsomnia sale :P - since got a headache that went totally out of control by midnight, and slept maybe 2 hours all night... of course I was silly enough not to have a supply of painkillers at home...
so it is possible to survive with almost no sleep a whole day at work... but it makes one feel rather mental :)
okay... back to resting...

We need to find you a way to practice that doesn't involve quite so much discomfort...

Hope you're starting to feel at least a little bit better.

*huge hug* Good to see you! :)

I really don't get along with this teacher. There's this big project that I have to do in the next two months but she neglected to tell us anything useful about it. So today we had a meeting about the project I selected and the methods I was going to use, and all of a sudden she's demanding something completely different and acting like I'm stupid, even though it was she who never explained anything in the first place. So my workload for this subject has just been doubled, in a period in which I already don't have any time to spare. :(

Hey there, Owl lady. =)

Glad to hear it. Doing all right here as well. Sucking down chemicals to wake back up while hoping in a giggly masochist sorta way that Insomnia is coming. It'd be fun doing that when I already have no sleep. ;)

FearfulSymmetry: Hi Crow, how are you?
Doing okay here. Coffee and loud music are my friends. -laughs-

Sorry your professor is a stress-inducing halfwit. (And that strangling them probably isn't legal in your country, no matter how much they deserve it.)
