LeoLR: You're welcome.
There is probably some other thread here in the forum talking about this. I haven't checked. :-)
As I think most of people here just come here anyway, I thought it would be worth to mention this.
Well, good thing you did, or I would have certainly missed it. I don't venture into the scary "rest of the forums", or any other gaming websites.

AgentBirdnest: Owl's friend's house, upon her request :-p

*extra big return comforting and sympathetic thank you hug* *tea* *pillows*
:-)
Haha, that's pretty awesome. Nice job setting fire to it. :)

*biggest hug ever*

ElTerprise: Well that illness forgot all its manners....and has particular bad timing :P

*to illness* VADE RETRO !!! :p
Exactly! Maybe I can scare it off!

Stilton: Okay, an important message for Fearful here....

We've got some serious limbering up to do because Sunday is a day of extreme importance for both of us.

Its the beginning of a concerted one month, all out, super-focused, creatively-uncertain, effort-dependent attack on a huge area of empty space with as many coherent ideas as we can manage to fill it with. And if that wasn't enough, those ideas have to somehow link together to make one even greater idea which will be not only entertaining but rewarding to anyone foolish enough to pick what we have spent so many hours struggling over and start reading it.

Its madness, pure and simple. But its also a hell of a lot of fun!

The very best of luck to you on your November journey :-)
Awesome description! Best of luck to you as well! :) Are you planning on starting writing straightaway at midnight? I usually do. :P

Stilton: Any excuse for a candle and some spooky goings on. I'm never sure if I prefer Halloween to Christmas or if its the other way around. Something about Halloween is utter primal fun. I love the whole thing :-)
I like Halloween but it's not very big around here, so I usually just view it as the prelude to nano. ;) It sometimes does provide a good excuse to pull some of the fancy dresses out of my closet, though.

HypersomniacLive: Why do you blame EIT? No-one with such unique purple hair can be a jinx or at fault.
I honestly don't remember at this point... It just became a tradition :-p
avatar
Stilton: We're with you, Agent - arms around the world and all that :-) Sometimes an emotional purge is necessary, don't question it too much. I've had some deep psychological lows in my time and I was shocked at how different my emotional behaviour became. Its temporary and just the mind's way of telling you its processing stuff and please be patient. :-)

AgentBirdnest: Thanks. It does get a little frustrating when I was feeling great just a week ago, and suddenly I'm feeling these ultra-rapid cycling moods, and I can't figure out why. The stomach pain isn't really helping either :-p
I know it will pass, but some days it would certainly be nice if is passed significantly sooner...
Its part of your journey and later you'll see its value. That is a super-icky and cringingly cliched way of putting it, so feel free to boot me in the nuts just on principle, but its also actually true (at least it has been for me). Some of the crap I've been through hurt like hell at the time and I wondered why it was happening, but retrospect puts it all into some kind of coherent focus, and the angry and frustrated 'Huhs' were gradually replaced by the comforting and understanding 'Ohs.' Sometimes it can take a long time for the penny to drop, but just know that those pennies are moving towards their dropping zone, even if it feels like they're not.

ElTerprise: Yes. Well i guess should get some rest but iirc you're going to start writing the novel for the novel month...anyway i hope you can recover (if at least a bit) on the weekend :)
avatar
FearfulSymmetry: Yep, the start is this sunday and I'm charge of a writing event that day as well so I can't really afford to be ill right now. :P Go away, illness! I didn't reserve any space for you in my diary. :P
You're participating in NaNoWriMo? That's cool. Do you already have an outline of what you want to write, thought out?

Leo, its all revealed here...

Come and join the fun if you like a challenge!

FearfulSymmetry: Exactly! Maybe I can scare it off!
Any idea on how to do that?
*gives Stilton a kick in th...* ... just kidding ;-p

Yep. It's going to be a very loose adaptation of Shakespeare's Richard III in space this year, my most insane idea to date. :P This will be my ninth nano.

I told Agent to try giving his stomach ache a stern talking to ... might try that, I suppose. :P

What a great idea! I've never started at a minute past twelve before - I think I'll do it this time :-)

Fancy dresses are great, although with my legs....

Youtube's not allowing me to actually watch the video, so I'll just have to imagine myself some Monty Python. :P I really like starting at midnight and getting the first 1000 or 2000 words out of the way. Then later during the day (after some sleep) it's nice to come back to it and see that you already have a start.

Haha, fair enough. :P Don't let that stop you, though. :P
