NoNewTaleToTell: If I was feeling that way then I'd probably be trying Hydrophobia: Prophecy again.

Mostly just fine here, eating some less than impressive but totally edible chips and listening to music. Thinking of trying Pathalogic again, but a bit hesitant since there is a new version dropping soon (tomorrow?), and I'm wondering if I'll be getting the actual remake for free or just another discount or no discount at all.
Hmm. Looks like it's coming out on Thursday.
Since you own the original, you'll have a 70% off coupon under the original game's library entry. That'll drop the price from 13 down to a little less than 4.
If you didn't own the original, you'd get a 25% discount for buying the new version. You'd also be getting a copy of the original as a bonus item.

I mean the "actual" remake, the Classic HD version is separate from the remake that they had a kickstarter for. Yep, there will be three versions out there once the remake is released.

Seriously? Okay, didn't even know about the third version. Thought it was a bit confusing with two. That spikes a bit with three.

As far as other things tonight, I'm toying with the idea of recording an (instrumental) cover of one of my all time favorite songs, Clown by Switchblade Symphony.

If you're not familiar with it, enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3dEWeu7aII

Okay, the whole thing makes a bit more sense now. Also, I like their take on the whole old game/new-old game/revamp versus original thing.

Hadn't heard it before, but it's a good song. =)

CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

Glad to see you're liking it so much. And yes, it is chock full of DLC to gouge players for every dollar they can. I was actually interested in Warhammer Quest, but I read up and they have the same thing. It's 15 dollars for the base game, then another 15 dollars for the extra stuff that should have been in the base game to begin with.
Yeah... that sort of business attitude makes me want to forget about Steam again for a long time.
I made an exception for Talisman, out of nostalgia. Used to love playing the board game back in the 90's.
Maybe I'll concentrate on gog more :)

Blame where it's due, that's not Steam's fault. It's the developers. They choose what goes in and how much to charge for it. They're the ones who decided chopping up their game, then trying to sell it back to people a piece at a time was a decent thing to do.

All for concentrating on GOG, though. It's still superior. Thinking there will be a Halloween sale on Friday, since it's so close to the actual holiday.

Ah yeah, you are right! Thanks for the correction.
*hates steam a bit less* :p

-laughs- I stopped hating them as much when I realized that they're just a rental service. If I want a game that I truly wish to keep, I'd never get it there.

Well, sounds good :)
They do have a lot of interesting games. Luckily gog's developing library has kept me busy :)
Humble's deals are a nice cheap way to get some decent Steam games, and you can always give most of the money to charity if you wish. But I still feel tiny bit of rage when I see that steam window before the game starts ;)
Morning!

*hugs and waves*
GM!

Good morning :)
Buy Talisman! :p So we can play a multiplayer game and never talk to each other again ;)

Yeah just kidding...
Good morning everyone *big hugs and waves* :)

How are you all doing?

CarrionCrow: I've had problems with different CD rippers, the one that's been closest to consistent is Windows Media Player. It might work, it might not, but it's possible that you'll be able to rip the music from the disc with that.
Have you ever tried EAC? Had really good result with it when ripping CDs.
