You've been through the Warhammers, haven't you? Are they worth a go?
Vertiginous Golf is free for 24 hours on Steam.

Not sure if you're asking me. If so, no I haven't. I think they look good, will probably pick them up myself before the promo ends.
Good moaning.

I left at noon and haven't been online since then, Let me see what are this week's staff p... EMPRAH BE PRAISED!

I have the chance to own the game with the most cheese mongering scenery chewing badass commissar save Ciaphas Cain himself.

I think I might take it.

CarrionCrow: Note to self - purchase a Nerf bat, then proceed to playfully pummel Agent silly with it.

That godsdamned song is playing now. Thanks an assload. Truly. >;P

Additional - We've secretly replaced the shit song with something better. Will the test group notice? (Silly question. Of course they will, their frigging ears won't be bleeding.)
Haha... I did give a warning ;-p

Pluck yeah!! The replacement is an all time favourite. Top 26 :-)
I still want a Boy George/Pete Burns duo.

Yeah, that was aimed at you :-) They look like they might be worth getting into - I've heard endless ravings about them.

Okay, let's try that again. Attempted a post, got sent to Atlas bear for my trouble.

Good evening. =)

Yeah, with the three older titles and a new one all on sale at once, it's kinda hard to pass up. Also, those titles probably aren't going to be part of the end of the year sale(s), so now's the time.

-laughs- Yes you did. Only fair considering what you were throwing around. Weird thing is, I kinda had that song on my mind before you mentioned it.

Likewise. Some songs just work, and that one always has.

That sounds scary. Think I'll just stick with Dead or Alive on Youtube instead.

I've seen them mentioned for years. Worst case scenario, one or two don't want to work with Windows 8. Can't say I blame them, I can't stand Windows 8 either. But given that I bought Gorky 17, something that I knew wouldn't work for this, the Warhammer games are worth taking a chance on.

I haven't played any of them, but word of mouth and hearsay claim that final liberation is quite enjoyable.

Also, cheesy FMV from the time FMV was cool, but the technology was developed enough so that you wouldn't think you were watching an unscrambled pay per view channel.
Watch to binge next on Netflix? Maybe Sons of Anarchy,Hemlock Grove,Gotham,The Flash,From Dusk till Dawn,American Horror Story,Sense8,X Files or Vikings.
I just talked a couple of guys at class into buying t-shirts together to avoid shipping costs (free shipping with 3 or more items).

How about we do the same thing with the Warhammer stuff?
I've just done a bit of review checking re the Warhammer collection, and on a descending scale it looks like Final Liberation comes top, Chaos Gate second, Horned Rat third and Rites of War last. The last two are only 'Fair' and 'Mediocre' respectively, due to clunkiness and missing some essential features from the original table top source.

I doubt I'll slog my way through the lesser titles as they'd seem just that, so Final Lib and Chaos Gate look like enough of a Warhammer thump for me. A Chaos Gate taster certainly makes the games look appealing.

Every game is guilty of sin. I do not know Final Liberation's yet, but apparently the units have about as much morale as a bunch of trekkies at a Star Wars convention. This however is more or less consistent with existing lore about pitting mere men against green skinned hulking and hollering monstrosities that not only can survive having their limbs blown off, but can also pick up the lost appendage and use it to beat you to death with it.

Chaos Gate's sin is featuring the Ultra Smurfs.
Rites of War only features the space panzies, also known as the Eldar.
And Horned Rat is about Warhammer Fantasy.

Chaos Gate looks very tactical squad based. I'm reminded of X-Com.

Wouldn't mind doing so if possible, but not sure if I'll be able to grab them before the promo ends.

Agreed, all the way down to the multiple elevation levels.

Oh right...I need to keep forgetting that I have a playthrough of Risen 2 started. I haven't touched it in over a month.
