LaPtiteBete: **HUG** ... Sigh. Haaa... I could do this all day :D
How are you, MoonshineShadow ?
Quite fine, a bit tired since I did not get enough sleep last night. When I came home from work yesterday I had to do all the housework since I did want the apartment to be clean before going for vacations. And that takes a while if you have to take care of an apartment that was originally intended for two people. And then I had to pack my bags for the vacation. And actually I had a hard time fitting in all the presents I bought for my family. I should have bought less :D But with the extra money I am getting from work for Christmas I could not hold back :D So it got quite late before I went to bed :D

adaliabooks: Hey everyone.

Not up yet here. Posting from my phone in bed.

Last day of prep before a (hopefully) busy few days at work.
Morning :-) So you missed our company so much that you are even posting while still in bed? :P

I'm back. What's up?
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Hi HuN73R (dammit... the grinch !!!! :-O)
How are you ? :)
Nothing special here neither... !
Sounds like you've got one nasty respiratory infection if it's not letting up after almost a week solid. Juice, water, rest as much as you can, try to get the bugger to go away.
Still packing the headache, but nothing new there. Slept for a bit, woke up, probably won't sleep again til later on.

Considering that I'm an Indian and a non-christian, Grinch seemed like the only thing that'd fit me.

At least you're not addicted to a forum full of crappy people? -laughs-

Can't complain here overall, thanks. Nothing special, nothing exciting, just whiling away the hours until dawn.

What are we going to do now?

BTW, Here's a new web comic I found.

Not sure about you, but I'm alternating between typing, playing games and watching videos.
Good morning everyone, how are y'all, eh?

After defending DLC Quest I find myself facepalming in regret.

So I've played it now and I have to say i'ts a letdown. The game is cheap but still a ripoff, it's way too short, think first stage of super mario short and you'll have the right idea.

It's still nice, the movement is smooth, the jumping feels very responsive. But all you get is one single stage, some pop culture references and a bunch of jokes about how far companies have gone with their DLC practices.

I payed 49 cents, and it still feels a ripoff. This feels more like any number of free flash minigames out there.

On the plus side. I did play it with a controller, on the couch, on the TV. Good thing my laptop has an HDMI port, and had some simple platforming fun. Although I did have to map the controller to the keyboard.

Good afternoon. =)
Doing all right now, currently happy that I already wiped out all the Nordic stuff I wanted. Good thinking since they've decided to pop back up for a piece of holiday sales. -laughs-
You spent 50 cents on a joke game that caused amusement and killed some time. Could've been worse. You could've bought a "triple-A" game that's bugged to shit right off the bat and have a 60 dollar piece of garbage at the moment. ;)

True, true, at least it was only 50 cents, for an indie developer, on a game I already knew was a joke, and at some points, even funny.

Braid, on the other hand is an unfunny joke in that it takes itself too seriosuly.

Never trust hype.

Oh right, the Nordic stuff. I only have a couple of the stuff there. Wonder if I should get the last spellforce as well. Nothing else really interests me.

OH JACK! You're back!

Haven't ever played Braid. Have heard it mentioned about 50 times, but haven't played it.
No worries. All I ever have to do is think "Bethesda", and I see exactly how much hype plays into things. ;)

Already have everything I really want from that pack. Started to play Spellforce once. Between the massively clunky gameplay and voice "acting" that made me want to shove pins through my eardrums, haven't been really keen on buying that particular series.

Quite so, look at ESO.

Although to be fair, I enjoyed Fallout 3 inmensely even if I loathed Oblivion.

The VATS system made all the difference.

Braid is an interesting platformer puzzle with time manipulation mechanics. Where it fails, spectacularly so, is at the supposed storytelling. That, feels as if written by someone with thick plastic glasses, sipping a double latte in a starbucks while browsing on his macbook pro. The annoying part, is that some people buy fully into that bullshit part of the game and end up fanwanking some hidden meaning that they compare to a personal epiphany.

Too deep for you.

Spellforce hasn't particularly awed me either. So I think I'll hold.

In other news. Broken Age got its daily rather soon.
