Empress_Owl: Holy crap, the thread is so quiet...

I'd love to hear your presentation. I love learning stuff anyway :D
Okay...cool. Might be difficult though because the presentation will be in German (but i could translate the slides for you :) )
avatar
Empress_Owl: Awesome !!
I'll have to make some too...
I just found a place where they sell entire pumpkins (and not halfs or quarters).... :))
The hard part is to get reasonably small ones. And even those are getting rather heavy for kids to carry around.
And you can make, like, pumpkin soup from the stuff when you've hollowed them out. My wife likes it (with curry), but I don't ;-)
avatar
moonshineshadow: I am more like doing an armee of Yoshis :D
In the end there will be one for everyone in my family and two for myself :P
(and you could not have remembered that, it is not one of my usual activities. I blame Yoshis Wooly World)
avatar
Empress_Owl: They're so cute !! :))
Ho, wow, that's a lot of work... do you make them for a special occasion ?
Haa, phew... I wondered, as I have a quite bad memory... :)
**Big wooly hug**
I'll give everyone a Yoshi at Christmas with the Yoshis being in the favorite colour of them :-)
*big return hug*

AgentBirdnest: Really? Any videos in particular you'd recommend? Or should I get off my lazy ass and find some for myself? :-p
Are there instructions on how to knit a little Christophe Lemaitre? :-)
**Extra big return hug**
Eeer, no, first you should find the materials, otherwise it's quite pointless :)
You should learn how to cast on stitches first, and how to knit in garter stitch (always the same kind of stitch, the most easy one)....
I doubt any knitter has ever knitted a Christophe Lemaitre. But you could do any wooly doll and knit accessories and stuff to make it look like your idol... :)

toxicTom: Next try... 5590. Again... Now my game against boredom starts to get boring...
Lol !!
What about showing us screenshots and the first who guess the game (supposing it's not always The Witcher) get 1 point :)

ElTerprise: Okay...cool. Might be difficult though because the presentation will be in German (but i could translate the slides for you :) )
Ho :-\ I'm afraid I'm not good enough in German...
Translate the slides ? that would be pretty awesome :)
**Big happy hug**

Yes, I can't imagine kids carrying a fat 8 pounds pumpkin around... lol.
Would it still be edible like, 2 days later ?... I never ate the carved pumpkins... :-\

I would feel bad to give you extra work :") don't worry about that... especially if you have many slides...
But it's very brave to offer it ^^ **big impressed hug**

I would make the soup from the "innards" the next day, at latest. The lanterns themselves have to be kept cool, to last a few days. Otherwise they will decay rather quickly. :-/
