HypersomniacLive: Hello everyone, I got some great news!

My friend's procedure was a success! It took a little over 5hrs, but everything went well and she's resting in her room, trying to fight the side-effects and intensified from-the-procedure symptoms; she was playing some silly game game on her mobile earlier, but hopefully she's peacefully sleeping now.
It will take a long time before the first results show (tumour will shrink gradually and may take up to 3yrs before completely shrunk), but she won't have to undergo open brain surgery, which is excellent news given that the location of the tumour doesn't allow a complete removal (only 10% of it would be reachable), plus damage to nerves would have not been avoided.

She asked me to heartily thank each and every one of you for your wishes and support. And so do I, it means a lot to both of us. :-)

*breathes a relief and does a happy dance*
That is awesome! *big happy hug* I am glad that everything went well :-)

CarrionCrow: In most cases they certainly are. Spent 135 hours playing Mass Effect 1-3, just to get a bullshit ending.
Needless to say, the future of RPG's is NOT Bioware or Bethesda.
Once again it's Mr Bethesda,it all went downhill with New World Computing folding....

To celebrate I'm holding a GA.
That is excellent news. Will continue to wish her a fast and full recovery. =)

I wasn't really around enough during the last few weeks to know what was going on, but I just read the explanation in your GA, and I just wanted to say that it's absolutely great news the surgery went so well. I wish your friend the best in her recovery, and I'm glad that such a load got taken off your shoulders.
Thanks everyone, I will pass your wishes along, I'm sure she's very thankful for everything. :-)

Fantastic news Hyper and Hummer both!
I'll bring ice cream and some alcohol-free champagne, how does that sound?

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone.

Whew, I'm officially pooped. The little guy is a few weeks premature, so he'll be in the hospital for a bit. The particular hospital he's at is 220km / 135 miles away. Mrs hummer is staying at the hospital, so I'm running back and forth keeping the rest of life going. Thankfully, a good friend of ours is available this weekend to take over animal care for me, so we should be able to just all spend the weekend in Edmonton.

And then my wife's parents should be here by Monday to help out too. I don't know what it is about driving that wears me out, but I'm worn out. Going to bed now.

Would say that the resolution to something you and your other half have been hoping for years might have something to do with why you're tired. You've both run a very long race, and now it's over.
And you won, which is always good. ;)
Good morning everyone :-) Hope you are all having a fine day *hug for everyone that wants one*
