I tried refreshing it after DD said goodnight - I wanted to reply - and the load of dung decided to keep me where I was. How much longer are GOG going to ignore all of these problems. I remember it happening during one of the Insomnias and that was maybe two years ago. With the money they're making they should have a state of the art setup, but we've still got this pile of junk.

I honestly don't know. I try to not get heavily negative about every single thing, but facts are facts. The system seriously needs a major upgrade, but for some reason it's not happening.

It gets really frustrating because it can destroy the flow of what you're doing, whether that's talking to someone or trying to buy a game during a big sale. I try to stay positive, but when it keeps failing you start to wonder why the hell you're bothering. A few times during sales I've come so close to just shutting it all down and walking away. I love this place, but using it can be a real pain in the backside.

You're right, on both counts. Having to fight with the tech gets very old, very fast.

I stick with it because of the combo of people and games. It used to be games and people, but the emphasis got switched around after the thread started and my game pile went from large to what the hell am I doing.

Talking of what the hell am I doing, I'm about to fill a basket of FireFlower games, I think. They've got some nice looking games there, and all DRM free. The sale ends on the 26th so it'll give me a few days to get everything I want from them this time around. Some of them are silly cheap, which is always a bonus.

Thanks, Leo. It got stuck for Agent earlier, too. It seems to strike arbitrarily and without warning. Hopefully GOG will fix it eventually.
