EndreWhiteMane: Morning Crow, doing well?
I could have got another hard drive or about 25 nice games. Went and bought a medium size load of groceries instead.
Wish eating was as inexpensive as gaming. :-)
Things are going all right here. Transferring my most recent update folder to the extra hard drive. Thrilling.

-laughs- That'd be nice. Stupid biological requirements for survival.

Additional - Think I found out why the wishlists and message buttons were offline. GOG's linked things so you can see someone's wishlist, pass them a message or send them a friend invite by way of hovering over a thread the person started.

EndreWhiteMane: Should be tomorrow if all goes well, unless there's a launch discount it will be $19.99.
Cool....although i might wait for some reviews before actually buying it ... but 19,99 sounds reasonable for the game.

FearfulSymmetry: My professors have just abandoned all other forms of testing in favor of the essay. Essays, essays, essays ... that's all I seem to be doing these days. xD It's starting to wear a bit thin.

Ah, I see, are you planning to write on that?
Great...you must all love writing essays then i assume :P
But i know that as well because i generally have to write a lot of papers / essays during the course of studies (bachelor and master) as well..
It's for two seminars. One major seminar about post colonial studies (and i have make a presentation and write a paper on the work of Edward Said) and the other one is for a really interesting transdisciplinary seminar about sustainable futures) :)

Oh yes, we absolutely adore it. :P That's one thing I can really look forward to: the idea that when I finally finish this degree I won't have to write many more essays. I might need to check them, but at least I won't be writing them. xD

I had to give a presentation on post-colonial literature a few years back ... Let's just say post-colonialism and I didn't really get along. :P I hope you're doing better with it? It's nice to at least be somewhat interested in the things you have to study.

Understandable :P

Me too and i also had some troubles with the topic but i'm giving it another shot :)
Yes that seminar about sustainability is really great so far (well only had one long "meeting" on Saturday) plus the teams have to create a short video in the end :D (and i also like the idea of having different disciplines working together - in my case Geography, Psychology, Educational Sciences and Economic Sciences (national economics to be precise)) :)

j0ekerr: Good moaning.

What'd I miss?

The more I know about law, the more I see the appeal of anarchism.
Good evening.
Well depends on how long you've been absent.

Hm...that bad....although i'd say that anarchism is an interesting concept...i have my doubt on the practicability though...
(But it's always interesting how many people / media mix Anarchy and Anomie)
Okay...guess I might be waiting to do the mass update thing. I keep getting a 403 forbidden message when trying to download items through my browser.
I named my ship in star trek starship creator the "USS Slut."

Hi Crow :)

Here on GOG? Which ones? Just to see if it's widespread problem.

It was 7th Guest, 11th Hour, stuff at the beginning of my list. But as soon as I typed that, it seemed to start working again. I love flaky systems.

Yup...and they always after you wrote about them ;)

FearfulSymmetry: What part of it? :) The women in SF? I'd really like to do that because it's super relevant to my interests. I was pleasantly surprised today to find that there's actually research on my favorite guilty pleasure SF book! :P
What would that be?
Exactly. Fantasy seems to have a fair share of female authors. SF... I can't really name any (except you count Mary Shelley among them).

Shards of Honor/Barrayar by Lois McMaster Bujold. Yep, you're right about there being fewer female authors, although it has picked up in the last few decades. I'm also considering using C. J. Cherryh and Ursula K. Le Guin. There's also quite a bit of utopian/dystopian fiction that might be interesting.
Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.
Sorry guys, but I think my blood pressure dropped a bit. Gonna lay down and catch a nap.
Hello everybody! :)
