I have that problem now, but twitch feed is working with firefox now, for the first time :)
...thinking of checking out Chantelise, looks fun
I see we're all Frank! *waves at all the Franks*
Very glad I already own Tales From The Crypt. A nice long marathon should scratch that Halloween-related celebratory itch. =)

I've got those, five or six seasons of them. They'll be nice with a bowl of warm eyeballs and a mug of ectoplasm :-)

They're good for heavy doses of silliness mixed with horror. Thought it was a nice touch that the movies kept that same tonal mix.

Between those, Hellraiser on Netflix and my Nightmare on Elm Street pack, viewing for the next couple weeks should be covered.

I think I'll start the films this weekend. I've got loads from Universal to Hammer to more up to date stuff.

One or two a night with a couple of candles burning, a High Priestess with goat mask and sacrificial virgin, and I should head for bed happy ;-)

EDIT: Shadow Warrior 2013 is currently dragging its nuts onto my hard drive. 7.43G of fun and frolics. I dread to think how long those Witchers will take...

Hi, Fearful :-)

Are ready to go with NaNo-WriMo?

That rhymes!

You have a much better selection than I do, sounds like.

Priestesses...virgins...too much hassle. Candles and goat masks sound more easily doable.

Well, for Witcher 2, take the time needed for Shadow Warrior, then multiply it by roughly 3 and a half.

I think I'll start with Boris Karloff's Frankenstein. I love that film. Karloff was born very near where I grew up in London, so I feel a kinship with his lovely gruesome self. After that I'll watch Bride of Frankenstein, and then have a think about Sunday's delicacies.

Can't do Halloween without a priestess and a virgin. I keep mine in a box next to the Christmas deccies. :-)

Don't remind me, just....don't remind me....

Pretty much, yep! I have an outline ready (although the characters and world need some more work). I'm also mentoring about five people and have somehow become in charge of the write-ins in my city. :P I'm going to be super busy in November but I have no classes the first week, so I'm going to try to get as much done as possible in that first week.

How are you doing?

I've 'got some ideas', which is about as prepared as I get before setting creativity to paper. I trust in a combination of inspiration, sweat and dread that I won't hit the deadline with enough words. Hopefully I'll manage to produce something which won't be immediately forgotten :/

Thank you, reminded me that I need to watch all the old Universal monster movies.

Hmm. Didn't know it was that easy. I stand corrected. And in my case, they'll have more room since I don't keep any of that other junk you mentioned around. -laughs-

It'll be okay. By the time you get to the W's, it'll be set and forget until it's done.

I might keep the movie watching chronological this time - they'll get gradually more 'colourful' as the 31st closes in, culminating (probably) with John Carpenter's flagship film of the season. I was a kid when I saw it at the cinema and it scared the crap out of me. It isn't actually a 'horror' film, but that doesn't matter, its perfect for Halloween night.

I'm laughing too - I remember our jolly Christmas conversations from last year ;-)

Set and forget is a good way of looking at it, thanks :-)

Well, that's a perfectly valid strategy too. Whatever works, right? :) I know I need to plan because otherwise I get horribly stuck and my inspiration just fizzles out. Unfortunately it took me several years to figure that out. :P

Sounds like a good plan. One incredibly easy way to screw up such a plan with a single switch - replacing the original Halloween with Rob Zombie's remake. That'd be like replacing all the bottles of champagne at a New Year's party with turpentine and animal urine two minutes before midnight.

Holiday conversations are always fun. Hell, they're the only enjoyable thing surrounding the days themselves.

Not a problem. Had to do that more than once to preserve some sanity during the backup process.
