Stilton: Those sound like good suggestions - I think I'll be getting 10,000,000 this evening.

Popcap also put some 'mild' DRM in the game, which will be removed as fully as possible when its uninstalled.

Half inch long flying ants sound like a 70s disaster movie. When they completely cover the windows head for the kitchen and climb inside the fridge. Wasn't The Swarm a great movie? It didn't do any of the cast's careers a jot of good, but its cringeworthiness is worth repeated viewings.

j0ekerr: I for one welcome our new ant overlords.
Gotta love an ant film. Them! is the grandaddy. The 70s/80s was a period of giving it a go and not caring much what it came out like. They have a charm, nevertheless.

j0ekerr: As long as you don't confuse another white sticky substance with hair gel you don't have anything to worry about.

Yep, that makes much more sense than the first time around, when the guy decided to mathematically demonstrate that 1+1=2, which we took as an indication to buy vaseline in industrial drums. Or other horror stories of college professors I'd heard about.
Although the first time I gotta admit it wasn't that bad. I just had a lot of problems back then... ok I admit it, I spent too much time licking my own balls instead of paying attention.

I like to think I'm a bit more mature now.
You just had to go there, didn't you? :P

Well, I hope things continue to go well for you and that you get some enjoyment out of your study too. :) If you like what you're doing it's never really a punishment to work. Sure, it can get really busy and you might be swamped with work, but at least it'll actually be interesting.

FearfulSymmetry: Hey, how are you doing? :)
I am doing pretty well! I hope you are well yourself, aside from the shaving cream incident. ;) I've had far too many experiences like that myself. But then, I'm a bit of a bumbler. As is evidenced by my inability to reply to comments without making crazy formatting mistakes today. ;)

Good to hear! And I wouldn't worry about that, we all make those mistakes. :) I've had a bit of a weird day but it's okay. I just hope tomorrow will be more straightforward. :P

I saw that movie when I was 12. It's the best age for it.
If you think wrestling looks phony, You're too old to appreciate 50's B-movies.

Will you share with me your secret about the other 5 percent? That sounds like a good personal goal to strive for. ;)

You made me briefly confused. Well done. :-D

Stilton: You're doing the right thing taking things slowly and 'as and when'. I've not experienced anything similar in the long term, so I can only wonder at how you manage. Your wife sounds like a godsend.

And as for Sarge, if he's keen to play a game get him to look at this

It'll be a while until its available so he'll have to be content with pictures until then :-)

I'm pretty sure I don't (manage)--I just sort of float around on the wind. But that suits me just fine, I think. ;)

The lady and pup are both godsends. I can't imagine where I'd be now, were I drifting through this life without them. Pretty sure I'm the luckiest kid I know.

That game looks adorable! I may have to back this... and I never had any idea I was a "dog person." I always thought I was a "sentient being, any sentient being, so long as it isn't mine" kind of person, but SuperSarge found a way to change that, apparently. :)
*the lady is on her way home with groceries, I'll be back around a bit later in the evening. Have a lovely day, folks!

Oh my god! Why did you show me this? You bastard!

I must have it now!
I think it's time to replay Deus Ex.

The Deus Ex: Revision mod was released a few hours ago.

PCGamer did a quick comparison between the original and Revision mod.

Treasure those gifts and anchor yourself on them. DO NOT use them as anchors when you embark for booty though.

I always knew I was a dog person. Cats are evil creatures.

It looks good, doesn't it. Good idea and really good visual style.

Only a year to go...

I've always been in two minds about Deus Ex. Part of it has been the blocky visuals, the other being I'm not sure if its my thing. The visual question appears to be resolved (I presume the GOG version will accept the changes).

Which leaves the story/how it plays.

You obviously know it well, what do you like about it?

EDIT: Just done some looking - it seems the update is Steam only.

Indeed.
