Stilton: It could be an opportunity to up the PC's specification, if you felt like it. A gradual improvement throughout would give it a better chance of living with modern games. I don't run anything with top end graphics, but it is nice to have amachine that can cope with most games. Nearly all of GOG's stuff is fairly undemanding, which is great.

If I win the lottery I'll send you enough money to retire and become a full time gamer - I don't like getting up early, either ;-)

moonshineshadow: Yeah, I would look into upgrading. One reason why I have not done anything yet. Not motivated enough to look for the parts. And also for a good distributor since there was no reason to buy any new parts yet since I came to Switzerland so I don't know any. And since the graphics card was still working most of the time the last months it was no problem. But seems like I am slowly reaching the point of no choice :D
But there would also be an advantage. I could play Witcher 3, my mum told me it was a lot of fun.

*big hug* Winning the lottery would surely be nice (not that I am playing). It is not like I don't like my job. Most of the time it is interesting, but yeah, getting up early can be a bit annoying.
And I need to get ready for work now. So see you later ;-)
Have a good day, Moon - and sleep like a stone later ;-)
One more for the dead pile. Hunie Pop's enjoyable enough for the most part, but considering that it starts to annoy gameplay-wise before the end of one playthrough, kinda massively doubting that I'll go back for a second.

I've tried the game yesterday. Found it ok so far (the "dating sim" aspect is really shallow...). What did annoy you?

Strangely. I should have slept like a stone after the BD party to 4am. But I was almost wide awake for the best part of last night. Bio rhythm seems to out of sync. But this way I had no problem getting up at 6 am, and I still don't feel too tired. Might change in the next few hours though ;-)

The combination of the puzzles getting difficult to the point that the player has little to no chance to win without having certain items along with having certain tiles coming up quickly enough to overcome the 20 moves limit, then having to randomly click through morning, afternoon and evening sections before you have another chance to clear a failed puzzle. All that put together made the last part of the game feel needlessly drawn out when I played it.

Hmm. That does sound odd. Might take a bit, but it should stabilize since you've got a routine going.

Yeah, I can see that coming. Farming "hunie" to upgrade stats to get enough points to solve the puzzles in 20 turns could get quite a grind. And I'm not very talented or trained when it comes to match-3 puzzles, my best puzzle days were with the old Atomino on C64/Amiga.

Stat upgrade points end up being easier to come by than the item/food purchase resource, so at least that isn't too bad.
I was able to get all stats maxed out before the end of the game.

Hunie Pop might end up driving you up a wall before its conclusion, then. If you do rentals, the Puzzle Quest series (referring to 1 and 2, avoid Galactrix like the buggy, repetitive pain in the ass it is) allow for unlimited time to look and think without constraints based on a timer or move limit.

Additional - Starting to doze off, so I'm calling it a night. Have a good day. =)

No rentals here. Actually I bought HuniePop more for the outrage it created with some people. These puzzles games are really not my cup of tea, usually. And I didn't buy it for the p0rn either - I mean there really are easier ways scratching that itch if someone really needs it.
I just wanted to give the game a try, not expecting to play it seriously. I actually was prepared to give up much earlier. But I have to admit I like the writing and voice acting - it's certainly shallow but still funny.
Well, one thing in Windows 10's favor immediately: Reinstalling iTunes actually f'ing worked this time. \o/ (No, I'm not fond of iTunes, but it's easier to work with when you're balancing multiple i-devices with a massive music and ebook library.)

Tomorrow, the REAL fun: Clearing off the debris from four-plus years of use so that I can do a clean install. (And yes, reinstall iTunes. Again. Along with other stuff. But I needed it tonight to add more Miracle of Sound music to my phone! He released a new song today! Um. Yes. I'm still in my found-a-new-artist-I-love-so-will-completely-obsess-over-them phase. Shush.)

Hm. It's after midnight... I should probably go to bed soon. Probably.
Good morning everyone *big hugs and waves*

Seems like my illness went full Empire on me....it striked back :(

How are you all doing?
Good morning!!!!! *hugs and waves*

I'm back from a great holiday - one week of hiking on the island of Rügen! It's so beautiful in autumn, I'll never understand why people want to spend their summer holidays on the crowded beaches there :D

Great to see that owl and DD are back. CU!

Just looked at some pictures of Rügen (autumn ones in particular)... I'm officially jealous :-)
