I dunno, for some reason I'm not having as much fun here anymore... and these days I've got more stuff going on anyway.

So long, forum... and thanks for all the sausage.

Hello BMF. Sorry to read that - hopefully you won't be leaving permanently. We will miss you here regardless of that anyway :).

Thank you for the excellent daily songs, and general good company. I'll certainly miss you in this thread if you stop posting here...

In any case, good luck with everything. Hope life is treating you well, and the "more stuff" isn't too troublesome.

Also, this is one of the best songs ever. Thanks, Billy :-)
*quietly humming and nodding*
My Onee-sama just got married. She's só beautiful right now.

If you're not having fun, then what's the point.

Take it easy out there in the big scary offline.
*takes a seat and grabs a drink*
Looks like another sleepless night comin' up... woo :-p
Have some beer, I never have trouble sleeping with that. :p
Oh dear gods, I just remembered.

I started watching Sword Art Online 2 last night.

What the fuck is wrong with me...
<--pokes head in, waves

I hope you're all enjoying your weekends! I made the mistake today of opening Dragon Age Inquisition to show my wife how it plays... wound up realizing I'd really missed playing it (I put it aside for something a while back... Witcher 3 I believe) and spent most of the evening doing so.

I showed my wife the newest GOG releases (I was admittedly complaining, not that I have a problem with the games existing, I just think they're a really odd fit here and felt a bit snarky about it.) My wife saw the one that's a match 3 and said, "dude I would totally play that." She's been playing Bejeweled and Triple Town (not quite a match 3, but sort of in an odd way) like crazy, and I've been trying to get her into Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, the Doctor Who match 3 game and You Must Build A Boat. She's played one of the Puzzle Quest games and loved it, though I don't remember which.

I recall recent talk about match 3 games... and I didn't know previously that You Must Build A Boat was a "sequel" of sorts... should the first one (a one and then a bunch of zeroes... it's late, don't make me count) be played first?

I started this thinking that my brain was functioning properly. I'm having second thoughts about that, as I keep getting lost in space. It probably took me 15 minutes to type this. ;) I suppose I'm more sleepy than I'd thought.

I wish you all a lovely time-of-day! Time to either pass out, or to fail at that and dive back into DA:I

I've played 10,000,000 (I'm not counting, either, since it's not installed on my phone anymore) and there is no story whatsoever, so I can't imagine you'd need to play it. I think Crow's been playing one or both of these, so perhaps he can weigh in, here?

I will say that I think HuniePop is funny as hell; my husband watched me play a few minutes of it, smirked at the unlocked art, and wandered away again, completely uninterested in watching his wife woo big-breasted anime women via matching symbols. Alas. *g* If you haven't watched TotalBiscuit's playthrough of it with his wife, I highly recommend it; I don't think I stopped laughing for the entire hour-plus that they played.

And on a completely different note, I'll leave you all with this lovely piece of music: "Friends" by Miracle of Sound (a.k.a. his classic-rock-style tribute to Guardians of the Galaxy, which sounds like it belongs on the official soundtrack).

You're right, 10,000,000 has no story unless you count "score 10,000,000 points, win game" as one. You Must Build A Boat is its own separate thing.

Would also agree with you on HuniePop. Have played a fair chunk of it today, and it does a good job of balancing match-3, timed puzzles, resource management and memory game elements.

I was going to watch that video, but didn't want spoilers, so I watched Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime instead. After doing that, I want that game.

I was actually surprised at how good of a puzzle game HuniePop is - and how irritating, sometimes. (It gets very difficult VERY quickly, in some respects.)

That video should be fine once you've played a bit of the game. It's basically him doing horribly at the match-3 games for about five (?) of the girls, on the first date scenarios, so if you've put more time into the game than the length of the video (~an hour or so), you're basically guaranteed that it's spoiler-free. It's hilarious to me because the back-and-forth between him and his wife resonates strongly. ;) It's also what originally made me want the game.

I agree about Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, too! My only reservation is that I rather like being married and I'm pretty sure that playing that game with my husband would lead to the end of that status.

Oh yes, it does. Every upgrade, the difficulty goes up, and that's not counting some characters being more difficult to clear than others.

Yeah, I started watching. You can feel the focus as he automatically matches the one thing on the board you're not ever supposed to. If not for his wife, there's no way in hell he'd ever touch that game. -laughs-

Hmm. Not so much possible bonding as a possible fight. Good call on avoiding it, then.
Morning, GOG... !
**tired hugs with lots of coffee**
Hope you're doing well, and spending a nice sunday

Good morning. =)

-breaks out the backup wading pool of coffee-

Doing okay here, how's your weekend been going?
