Yep, a weekend with the owlets :) ... I'm playing Terraria with the eldest one, and asked him to shut up every 2 minutes because he keeps describing everything he's doing +__+
Apart from that, it's a peaceful and resting day :)

Actually the term is more broad in some sense from what I meant... I guess here it was about those old weird horror and science-fiction movies like Them! or Plan 9 From Outer Space or the original Night of the Living Dead...
Also the Japanese have made quite a bit of contributions with monster stuff (kaiju) like the original Godzilla.

Now we've been hunting games themed on this stuff :)

By the way sounds like you are having fun with Terraria :) I have a nephew (well he's my stepmother's grandson) who is about 8 years went nuts about Terraria too, and at some point was just talking almost only about it :)

I tried playing through Albion again :) then... I just snapped... and gave up for now... been playing Wasteland 2 for a bit ... It's such a pleasure to play a game where you don't freakin' have to wait for your party to get tired, so you can rest and gain hitpoints and progress... and I mean wait, there seems to be no way to advance time in-game... that's kinda driving me nuts :) So... something else is necessary...

Don't feel bad. That's happened to me more than once. At least one got shelved for about a year before I was in the right mood to go back to it.

There are lots of good games that came out years ago, but that doesn't keep mechanics from being incredibly clunky to deal with.

Doing all right here. Kept fighting with GOG not taking my card until I finally said to hell with it (a couple dozen attempts in) and grabbed what I wanted as a rental. So at least that's not bugging me anymore.
Beyond that, it's enjoying a quiet day. Still waking up since I slept in after a few days of barely sleeping at all and watching some video reviews.

A question I didn't want to forget - is your wife feeling better after the fuckwit trying to hit her with the car?

Ok... understandable to give up the payment isn't working... like going to a shop where all the card payment machines are not working... that's just bad business... hope gog gets this stuff fixed.

Ah thanks for asking, my wife is alright. She was more psychologically hurt than physically. Her leg got a bruise but its almost healed good already.
We had a few theories about the incident... As she is a foreigner and the anti-foreigner feeling has been on the rise lately amongst some people in Finland... Lots of refugees arriving even here in the middle of nowhere :) But I think the driver might have been just some stupid loonie who didn't care about nobody...

I mentioned before that patience isn't my strong suit. If possible, I'd have done so in 100 foot tall burning letters. I prefer GOG over anywhere else by a huge degree, but if I'm waiting for hours, I'm going to get annoyed. Fast.

Hmm. Guess it boils down to which idea you're more comfortable with - some piece of shit willfully trying to hurt others because they're a deranged idiot, or some piece of shit unwittingly engaging in behavior that can hurt others because they're just a garden variety moron.

Yeah well there's idiots everywhere... and when they are cowardly idiots who won't take responsibility for the actions and run away... anyhow, who knows maybe the cops have taken his license already... One can always hope ;)
I did joke with my wife that maybe we could get some automatic rifles and go for a revenge binge...:p
Anyhow, real life's a lot different from those movies where the good guys just want to solve a crime and miraculously finds the bad guy.... sometimes just by asking around :)
