CarrionCrow: I'm 12 hours in, and the obnoxiousness level hasn't gone beyond grumbling about stuff rather than wanting to scream. I'm still interested in the game, not on the verge of deleting it.
Is this Dex? A bit of a bummer as, while I hadn't looked into it at all, just hearing "cyberpunk RPG" was enough to make me hope it would show up here and I'd give it a good look. Knowing some of the other stuff you've played and enjoyed I'm fairly certain I might find the niggling obnoxiousness fairly painful. On the bright side, there IS a lot of stuff coming up so I won't have to worry about this one.

Thanks :-)

Yes, that's what I was referring to in those comments.

Additional - A quick heads-up. It's looking like the shopping cart function might be affected by all the lovely bugginess as well. Made two purchases with no problem, but it crashed and burned on the third. Now everything is locked up and it won't accept the same information I used to buy stuff just a few minutes before.

This crap has got to stop. A sale now would be hellish! Maybe they're tinkering with the site in preparation for one, or maybe it just plain sucks...

GOG running a sale right now would be a disaster. If things are heavily damaged already, the extra strain would make more and more problems.

I say they should really mess with us and run a massive Insomnia Sale on the same day as a Galaxy Mandatory 20gig Witcher 3 patch ;)

-laughs- There's a bent appeal to that idea. Problem is, it'd probably cause so much unhappiness that GOG would shelve the whole Insomnia concept for a year or two after it was done. (Assuming it could even make it to the finish line.)
So some stuff happened today. Mainly my enrollment is complete.
I've lost a month of classes btw.

Monday is a holiday so I don't start til Tueday.

I'm already scared.

Also took the car to the shop, there was screw stuck in a tire. No new wheels this time fortunately.

Don't be. You aren't stupid. You can get through it.

Additional - GOG's automated weekend sale email doesn't mesh well with the automated response from support sitting in my email that I'll probably be looking at off and on all weekend.

Download status: 141 down, more than I want to think about to go.

Its slow but sure (GOG depending), and good to see a sizeable chunk ticked off each day.

This might be the most thrilling message I've ever posted here...

It doesn't seem like a thrilling day for the thread in general. Don't worry about it. =)

Its certainly been a lumpy one. I'm baffled how a company with this much interest can't make access for all concerned an easy affair. Its bad business not to.

I think it's a location issue. Have mentioned this before, so apologies for the broken record to anyone who actually remembers crap I say. ;)

Pretty much anyone who works for GOG has to move to Poland. (At least until they get their California office up and running.) If you're not already a native, that's a huge shift, and I think that's at least a big factor in why GOG feels shorthanded.

(Course, given that opportunity, my ass would be on a plane as fast as it could get me to GOG Central.)
