ddickinson: Had anyone played Never-ending Nightmares? I played it over the weekend and I was not really sure what was even going on. I was wondering if any of you played it and could shed some light on it. It is just a strange game, or was I missing something? Which is possible, given my lack of concentration these days.
Nope, afraid not..this is the first time I've heard of it. :/ *hugs*

No worries. I got it as part of a bundle a while ago. I was looking for a short game to play that was just a simple adventure type game, and that one came to mind. I was not that keen on it, but as I said above, that could just be my lack of concentration at the moment due to my health.

*return hug*
*waiting (im)patiently for Thursday's release*

I hope it's something old... which makes me wonder, how old is "old"? For me, it's 2005 or earlier. Anything in the last 10 years still feels "new" to me :-)

So it could be Doom 3...
Just a quick thank you to all those who have reserved a special something for Tom Klinkerhoffen von Flockenstuffen's birthday. The list is getting smaller and smaller. :-)

Oh, and Tom's new surname is now apparently Klinkerhoffen von Flockenstuffen. :-)

I think that is a good range. So next year will "old" be 2006? Do you think if there is no release then that means people are right about a big sale coming?

Ooooh, I'd love to play that. Never tried it, or any Doom game for that matter :"|

I dunno. 2005 was a pivotal year. The first "HD" console. Maybe it isn't so much the year, but the generations. The last gen was a big step. This one is not.
Nah, I don't think it would mean a sale. It will just mean that GOG pisses me off twice today ;-p
Hello world :-)

Nice to see our Viking maiden back :-) Hi, DD!

How is everyone - healthy, wealthy and wise?

Depends on who you ask. It's really dark and compared to the original Doom very slow. And it has a lot of jump-scares that become all too predictable after a short while.
But it certainly has its moments.

If you're able to see the goddamn game, then it's quite well done.

Now that's what I call a gap in education.

I have never really followed the consoles, so I don't really know about the games and technology of each generation. But 2005 is a good sticking point for old games. But I do think you might have to adjust it, if you call every game since a new game then they will charge new game prices for them. :-)

Hello, mighty Viking!

I hope your day is off to a good start (even though it is now the afternoon)?

It does not sound too bad. Not perfect by any means, but it sounds like an average type FPS game, which is not necessarily bad. Is that game banned in Germany as well?

The original Doom 3 isn't, but the expansion Resurrection of Evil is blacklisted, don't know on what grounds.

I've resumed my downloading. Its going quicker than I thought it would, so I should be finished by mid 2016 ;-)

Especially for a guy whose catalog is mostly shooters :-|
