I am doing okay, thank you. Not had the best of weeks, but doing okay.

We have had the birthday tradition for some time now. Owl was the first victim, erm I mean lucky person to get gifted. :-)

I don't think there are any more birthdays in October on here, but I usually try to post a few times on the thread when it is someones birthday approaching, so I am sure you will see it once the next victim is found. Many of the birthdays are on the GOGWiki, but a few others we had to get from the thread, like yours. :-)

Of course, but maybe put a message there to check with me before gifting, just to help prevent double ninja gifting. :-)

Previous times we have asked people to share their wishlist on the GOGwiki, and it has worked out quite well. Now I just need to keep harassing the thread so everyone knows and those who would like to gift can. And what luck, the weekend promo starts tomorrow. Let's hope all of your games appear. :-)

No one is obliged to gift, nor should they feel bad if they do not. The birthday thing is just an option bit of silly fun we do. I am sure you will get a few games off the list. Especially if any of them appear in the weekend promo :-). Of course, you are not allowed to buy any for yourself until after your birthday on Saturday.

That is very nice of him. But I have no control over who wants to buy you another gift. All I do is manage the list. I mean I could stop people, but I won't. Where is the fun in that. :-)

I had a look at the releases while I was away, and they are mostly "retro" style games, that seem a little expensive given the low quality graphics and things. But I guess they are popular. I just prefer games made in 2015 to at least look like they were made in 2015, not made 20 years ago. And the pricing is a bit strange. Most people defend it, but when you compare the price against other games you can get, then it does seem that so many are just not worth the price they ask for, IMO at least. I mean, if I can get a game for the same price that has 3D graphics, lighting, physics, voice actors, etc, then a game with none of that costing the same seems silly. But I will shut up, I don't want to start any forum arguments about it all. I have no problem with these style games in general, I just think most use it now as a lazy approach and the higher prices seem silly. Also, some indie games are costing millions to make, so at what point do they lose the indie title, especially as many secure external funding, which kind of removed the independent thing as well. I was only being playful. It is strange how many of you get colds and flu. I seem to remember a time when I was the only one not with cold or flu. It took me ages to make all the soup and dish it out. Although I think Endre liked the nurse costume. Come to think of it, I think he might have been faking been ill, just for that, and my awesome soup. :-)
