Empress_Owl: Hey there Akh :)
You sound tired as pluck too... as 93,7% of the thread today ?...
I hope the coffee will help (and that you don't feel too bad after bumping into walls).
**Big energizing hugs**
Don't make me hug you.
Can't control it,you're to cute! *hugs Owl due to her extreme cuteness and pins her to the ground and continues to hugs her even more tightly*

Hello there! I'm sure the coffee will get me back to semi-functional at least. And the wall thing, well, I'm a bumbler by nature. I likely have calluses forming where I bump into walls the most regularly. ;)

*I'm going to get off my but now and pour a cup, then likely set up camp either in bed or on a couch made into a pillow palace, so that I can drift in and out of dreams for the remainder of the morning. I'll likely continue to lurk on the thread from my tablet from time to time. :)

Have a lovely day, all!

superstande: Oh, my review of ROM: BUY IT! :p ... well...except if you don't like mega old-school... but MOS (tm) is so awesome! :p
The pace is very slow, the music is relaxing, there's no horrible plot woven by evil enemy people... the game starts at home and you have an article to write, the dishes are piling in the sink... I love it! :)

Stilton: I was down on this game yesterday, but its starting to grow on me. I think I'll install the demo and hopefully dispel any more negative feelings...

Thanks for the feedback, it always helps when someone trustworthy gives a reliable thumbs up.
*viking-ey hug*
And you are welcome :) though my reviews are highly subjective! high as a kite :p
Hope the demo helps! It seems to be one of those "either you love it or can't stand it" - things :)
And if anyone is currently into anything of heavy action sort, this is not for them...

LeoLR: To everyone feeling ill.
Call support because this disease is definitely GOG's blame.
At least is a DRM-free disease. :-D
Howdy!
Runny nodes! that's pretty clever :)

Phew, we're DRM free - that makes things a whole lot better :-)

I think I'm going to have a more considered response to games (and life in general) from now on. I often make quick decisions based on things as unreliable as when I last ate anchovies, which side my hair is parted (I don't have a parting, so this one is always unreliable), which of the seven dwarves is the most annoying, and what my horse would think.

So, subjective and high as a kite are plain sailing by comparison ;-)

Ok. I have some chores to run.
This was just a quick stop by to talk silly and say hello.
Later I'll catch up with the thread. See you!

Enjoy your chores ;-)
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. =)

Hope you're all doing okay, or on your way to feeling better if you aren't.

Hi Crow.

Doing good here. The downloads are proceeding steadily. How're things with you?

Good afternoon from here! I'm doing good, how about you?

Doing all right at the moment. Trying to wake up while also trying to finish off 10,000,000 in between figuring out what I want to get next. It's proving difficult to drop coin on 20 or 30 dollar items when I still have a bunch of 6 dollar ones on my list.

I had a look at 10,000,000 yesterday and happened on a mad Scot on YouTube. It looks like one of those games that can induce insanity. Having said that, I'm tempted to get it - its cheap as chips so if I feel myself starting to go barmy I can quit without too much regret.

At its core, it's match-3 on a timer. If you don't like games that make you go fast, you probably won't like it by the time you're done. Just beat it about 5 minutes ago, it took a number of tries to clear that last hurdle and get the 10,000,000 score.
Also, it's a bit on the simple side. If you want the same basic thing, only with better presentation and more stuff to do, you might want to check out the quasi-sequel called You Must Build A Boat. They're both the same price.

Did you use a mouse? I'm wondering how it plays so I don't end up too digitally challenged - I grew up with the PlayStation, so I like the simpleton's method of control. Something in my mind just doesn't like using keys for movement.

Yes, I did. As far as I know, that's how the two games are controlled. There's no keyboard involved, it's all mouse-based.

And I'm assuming it becomes fairly intuitive as you get used to the degree of difficulty...

What are its downsides?
