AgentBirdnest: Welcome back, Pimp. Great to see you :-)

Just popping in once before falling asleep. Good evenight to all (and hello to those I haven't greeted yet today.) See you all later.

LeoLR: You have a thing only for peanut butter or are you open to other butters? Like almond butter. :-)
avatar
AgentBirdnest: I don't mind other butters, but none of them compare to peanut for me.
I met Santa when I was 5 years old. I asked for PB, and he delivered. Lovely fellow :-)
Night Agent, sleep well.

ElTerprise: Alright. Cannot keep my eyes open any longer. Good night everyone. See you later :)
And I'm following suit.

Tomorrow's forecast: more Geralt!

Thank you. :)
A sleepy and brief "hello and goodnight" to you all! Been an exhausting day, but the pup is off for a week of board & train while I get some rest and focus on getting a bit healthier. I'm going to start by getting back to this sleep marathon I started by accident yesterday. :)

I hope you are all doing well! I haven't had a chance to even lurk much today, but welcome back Pimp and hello to the lot of you! Stilton, I'd love to see your music list when you've got one put together... I started running through lots of old music I hadn't heard in years myself, just listening through old favorites and enjoying them more than I had in some time. It's nice to have lots of new music and a new appreciation for the old hitting me at once. My lady just recently asked me to make a few playlists for her ipod, so I'll probably be making some "digital mix tape" lists of my own, and may assault the thread every now and then, at least until the tomatoes start heading my way.
Okay, goodnight for now, folks!

*oh, and I've surely left some conversations open through the past few days, so my apologies for that. :)

ScotchMonkey: I hate not being able to have milk. Not because I really liked it, but I can't have any cereal without it!

Have you ever had cerial with water? It tastes like a dead dream.
avatar
akhliber: Have you tried soy milk or almond milk? I can't have milk either, but when I still ate cereal, I enjoyed it more with soy or almond milk than with dairy. Especially vanilla almond milk. Very tasty. I'll still occasionally pull the marshmallows out of a box of Lucky Charms or Frankenberry or some such and just dump those in some soy or almond milk. Yum!
;)
Soy is tastes too beany and I hate almonds. I have to avoid b12 vitiamins too so...

Fuck my life. Someone eat a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch for me.

And i loved Honey Nut Cheerios more than fuckin OMAR!
no beer, and no tv make homer something something
Good Morning!
...makes Homer a reformed dull bastard? ... no wait there's one word too many :p
Stumbled upon a cave in Albion... No idea if it's a plot location or just meant for leveling up.
One thing is sure, it's a huge frigging labyrinth. Well, at least the game has an automap system :)
And the kind that helps you see which areas you have already visited, with the "fog-of-war" thingie.
What's a proper word... well anyhow..
Gained some levels for everyone, but with the cost of starting to forget what the hell it was that I was supposed to be doing before I entered this damn place ;)
Yeah the game does not have a quest log system ;)

Ah also found a rather annoying "feature": in the 3D mode (first-person) you can't really see right at your feet, like what you are standing on or what you are standing very close to. It's some kind of Wolfenstein 3D engine with a bit of resolution upgrading and added colours... Anyhow: super annoying when you have just climbed up a hole with a rope, and upon ascending, you can't see the hole -> easy to fall down it and back to where you came from. Repeat a few times and it becomes a bit annoying :) Just have to guess which way you should move, and with the help of the minimap you get away. At least there's no hitpoint loss for the characters.

Bummer! I would totally take that lil' critter in for a week (if I remember the first blue eyed white fur scrunch nose looking little guy correctly from the first few pictures ;) )

Go crazy? DoN'T MIND iF i dOOOOO!?!?!! ;) Little early for the Halloween seasonal references but what the hell, The Shining was on the other night and I had a few too many so why not indulge in a wonderful Simpsons reference...
Burning CD's while watching video reviews of incredibly bad religious movies. Guess that's one way to kill a Saturday night.

Good morning.

Albion sounds like they were trying to do different things, ending up with implementation problems because it wasn't copying things other people have done to death.

Good Morevening, Crow! :)
Bad religious movies... sounds interesting ;)
Have you ever tried indieflix.com ? There's some really strange stuff, especially the horror section... Although there's some classics like Evil Dead 1-2...

Yeah Albion... It's kinda nice they did put the first person mode in, in the sense that when a pack of monsters suprise you around the corner, there's a kind of a jump-scare moment occasionally... And I like that :) But yeah there are problems... then again kind of easier to forgive those for me at least, the game having been released in 1996.

It's crap I wouldn't watch in a million years, but the reviewer making fun of how bad the movies are makes it tolerable.

Thank you for passing that info along. Skimming the horror section, and there are a few movies in that section that I learned about from Cinema Snob reviews. Some incredibly nasty movies in that bunch. Going to put Cannibal Holocaust on now, that's supposed to be one of the worst.

Or not. Turns out it's a subscription service.

True. It gets harder to give a game grief when it's almost 20 years old. It's very well regarded despite any mechanic flaws.

Ah, sorry yeah should have mentioned that... I think you get 2 weeks free though, and I just subscribed it some days ago and skipped the "add a payment card" option.. and they still allow me to watch films... :)

toxicTom: Hello everybody! *Sunday hugs and waves*
Hello!

I've got works of Chopin filling my headphones and a full stomach, so I must confess that the early morning is treating me better than it should!

How is your Sunday, and the time of day for everybody else who stumbles upon this post?
