gunsynd: Thanks, any relief from summer isn't just a minor thing but more like massive...

EndreWhiteMane: How different is the weather from one part of the continent to the other? Quite a lot I would think, it's a huge piece of land.

I thought it would be, Hobart is exactly as far below the equator as I am above it. That's a wild range of temperatures. ;)

Yeah,Tasmania is renouned for rough weather every couple of days, and actually the temps at the moment around Australia are pretty tame for this time of the year..

moonshineshadow: Yep you are right, I was not really paying attention these last days. Normally I remember things very well but once I get sick I can't remember things. That was really annoying during he time I was studying :D
Yep I gog Grim Fandango, just as a backup since my old computer is giving me trouble and that is the one LA adventure I can't easily run on the newer system.

HypersomniacLive: Hahaha, I hope that typo was intentional, it's gold!
It was semi-intentional. While writing I somehow hit the wrong letter, and when I saw what an awesome mistake it was I did not correct it before posting :D

Spot on..
People in Melbourne have a saying:four different types of weather in one day,but I can add a lot of places where that happens..

N.S.W. call the Victorians Mexicans...

Yeah, I can see a few places, like the northern tip of Queensland that probably get their asses kicked on a regular basis by weather.

Ha! Only four?

I remember one day in school we were out playing football at lunch and in the space of an hour we had snow, hailstones, rain, sleet and brilliant sunshine. And that was in April or May.
Ireland is awful for changeable weather (and Scotland's not much better).
