XxXSprayvWarXxX: I'm good, but my weekend will be full, because I have extra school for 3 hours in Saturday and also a test on Sunday for 3 hours too. :(
How about you?
avatar
ddickinson: Good luck with your exam and your extra studying.

I have nothing big planned, I can't really do much with my health the way it is at the moment.

avatar
l0rdtr3k: Still waiting for a chance for me to buy here again, probably Morrowind or other BethSoft games.
And I had quite the fucked up dream,of participating in a war between Amazonians and steampunk fetish nazis.
avatar
ddickinson: I have heard many people talk highly of the Morrowind game. A war between Amazonians and Steampunk Naizs?
Thank you so much! :)

I'm so sorry to hear that! :(

superstande: Good Morning ToxicTom!
Unfortunate for that accident to happen.
I drive a moped daily and sometimes it seems people rush too much in the traffic.
Like time was more precious than diamonds, even just a few seconds...
In traffic it can be really bad to just not give a shit for the regulations...

Aww what a lecture...

Weekend's coming, let's all grow parsley and be strong pirates!

And mornings Sir BirdNest!
Take care on those wheels, Super - I used to cycle in London, something I wouldn't dare do these days. I had some close shaves but I survived them. It amazes me now that I actually did it when I see how mad the place has become. I'm so pleased I moved out. Better to be a parsley-growing strong pirate than bandaged and bruised!

superstande: Yauou! ;)

Akhliber, herb gardens kick butt! :)
I recommend some everyday things that you like to use in cooking.
Basilika, parsley, oregano and maybe even cherry tomatoes...

DampSquib: Getting to watch something grow is great, even better if you reap the rewards.
Herbs are very simple, will give a few eg's but will save you a Long list :)
I grow Basil, Sage, Mint, Parsley, Tarragon and the school fave Cress.
School is my earliest memory of growing something, cress in a eggshell if i remember correctly.
Sunflowers was next with my gran, she loved to eat them and feed them to her bird.
I grow more parsley than any other herb, it's used everyday, so do go down it quickly.
Fresh/dried both ways are good, added it to my diet as a way to help stomach problems from Meds.
It worked, so i sought out more that may help...for other issues.
More traditional veg too, tomatoes, peas etc...and flowers, lilies being a favourite.

Most garden centers and even amazon stock basic herb starter kits, usually Rosemary, Sage & Thyme.
A good place to start with low cost, usually with good instructions included.

Ixamyakxim: Ooooh glad I popped in before calling it a night!

akhliber I second (and third, maybe even fourth!) the calls for you to start an herb garden next year! ;) Or heck, even try something on the sill during the coming winter!

I love growing an herb or five to supplement cooking. I scatter stuff both indoors and outdoors. Right now I have oregano, basil (though that's probably going to be history sooner rather than later), chives, thyme and rosemary. Earlier in the season I had cilantro, parsley (seriously I put this on EVERYTHING LOL ;) ) and mint.

I'll eat mint leaves on a daily basis (I've loved them ever since my grandfather taught me you could eat leaves off a plant many, many long years ago) and things like oregano, basil, thyme and parsley get used a LOT in my house. I've had sage in previous years but for some reason I don't this year - sort of forgot about it actually.

I wish I could stretch my basil out longer, but it always goes to seed far too quickly and I have a hard time keeping it a long while (stuff like oregano and rosemary however will grow even in the house all through the winter, thyme and sage can be coaxed along for a while too).

And superstande I LOVE cherry tomatoes! Based on my user signature you might have guessed I'm a bit obsessed with my dog - he loves fresh cherry tomatoes as well - the funny part - he'll actually "pick" the ripe ones from pots on the deck - but only when ripe! I love it and can't help but let him grab one or two when they start to turn red ;)
Thank you superstande, DampSquib and Ixamyakxim for the wonderful recommendations and encouragement! It's something I'd considered in the back of my mind for some time, but now I have a renewed excitement about the whole idea. I'm actually copying your posts to a word document so I can remember your suggestions, as I really think this would be a great thing for me, once I've got a bit more strength back and Sarge is just a bit further out of "barrel-into-or-chew-everything-with-love" puppy phase.
I'd never thought I'd actually allow myself a pet, that it would just be something I thought of as potentially wonderful... but it's been a beautiful experience, and the thought of having some herbs to watch grow as well seems brighter than ever. :)

l0rdtr3k: Pretty much but I don't know why I dreamt about it. It's not from a game but for some reason I dream it.
I see, so you dream about slutty Nazi women. Very strange. :-)
Sorry that I missed it was a dream, I an trying to follow things as best I can on here but I still find it a struggle being online too much, even though I try my best to be my normal self on here.

AgentBirdnest: I always get bored with Civilization after the gunpowder units get replaced with modern infantry :-p
On the other hand, I really loved Spore. Going from a single cell to conquering planets, and everything in-between was pretty enjoyable to me.
Thanks for voting anyway :-)
I love the Medieval era, so maybe that is why I don't like the gunpowder. I know it was used during part of the medieval era, but I prefer the more traditional artillery and projectile parts of it, the arrows, the catapults, the trebuchets, things like that.

XxXSprayvWarXxX: Thank you so much! :)

I'm so sorry to hear that! :(
Is it normal for Greece to have exams on the weekends? I know over here it would be very rare to have classes and exams on the weekend.
avatar
ElTerprise: Well - tomorrow is our national holiday (25 years of unity this year). Other than that some work in the garden is due - cutting down some trees etc...
25 years of unity sounds interesting. Do you do anything special? Surely you don't celebrate by cutting down trees...

You didn;t understand me. Other my normal school, I'm going to an extra school, that makes me better on the normal school. :)

CarrionCrow: Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. Hopefully you're all doing at least somewhat well today.
Doing good here. Currently ploughing through last night's messages and wondering if there's anything I simply can't live without from the weekend sale.

The weather's good and OUR HOUSE IS NO LONGER ON THE MARKET!!!!! YIPPEEEE, FREEEEDOM!

I never thought I'd be happy NOT so sell, but the last year has been a stressful drain and now it suddenly feels like we're out of prison.

Time for life without the black cloud of a constantly pending house move hanging over us. And the perpetual 'reminders' from the estate agent - GAAAGH.

Stilton: Both very good tunes! Once again I can 'see' films to go with them. This music exchange has been good as I've discovered some sounds I like and would never have found otherwise ;-) When you include this forum, GOG is so much more than games...
Glad you enjoyed them! This exchange has opened my ears to some new sounds I'd have never hear on my own as well. This forum really is so much more than a place to chat about games. It's quite nice. :)

I have yet to listen to the last one you linked me, as I fell asleep hard last night, and stayed that way for longer than I've done in probably years. Once I've the energy to get my daily cleaning done, though, I'll be streaming it to the stereo in the living room, so it can fill the house while I clean. :)

superstande: afternoons! at last home!
if anyone needs to take a nap, or otherwise some aural relaxative -> https://somafm.com/dronezone/
this has helped me take several naps :)
Excellent find! I think I can probably use that, so thanks! :-)
Anyone else having trouble with their game icons? Both Windforge and Thief 3 are refusing to let me use their icons giving me just a black box. XD

Not a big deal but I am curious.

Oh and happy Friday everyone. :D

ps. Yes I bought Windforge and I love it, so screw all of you! :P

You're welcome :)
And congrats about your housing issue being solved. Not sure I understand it but it sounds like something happened that makes you happy so that's good! :)

About driving in traffic: I've only had one bruise so far, that was in New Delhi, so I guess I'm lucky :) some frantic Indian bicycle taxi driver hit me from behind :) But I hold no grudge, it was a busy rush hour anyway and I wasn't hurt badly.
Oh, wait there was another one... but that was when I was young & stupidly drunk, and walked into a moving bus - but I'd rather forget that one ;)

We had been trying to move house for a year but there were always problems of some kind when we found somewhere we wanted to move to. It got to feeling like we were cursed or something. Luckily for us, the people who wanted to buy our house have pulled out, which means we are free of having to keep on looking for somewhere :-) Now I want to enjoy autumn and winter, Halloween and Christmas, and being free of all that stress and hassle.

So, something did happen to make me happy! And thank you for saying it's good :-)

And take care on that moped - its sounds like you're a danger to everyone else! (that's a joke, by the way ;-))

Feeling a bit odd at the moment. Only had one item left on the promo, and it kept bugging me, so I grabbed it. Now I'm thinking I grabbed a game primarily for kids, just to get the noise in my head to shut up about it.

So, do you have the SWAT games? I guess you do, do you like them?
