No, really, I used to have to try to throw snow high enough that it didn't just land back in the 'tunnel' I was building. ;)
Had enough of that, a few feet a year is plenty. :-)

to all be connected, especially if you plan on having naval forces. Perhaps even make a distinction
between oceans and inland bodies of water. lakes and possibly rivers as well connecting them to the
oceans.
That way your world generator can have defined continents and a more realistic looking world, if at all possible.

Still needs a bit of work, and probably need to add an extra step to create some more lakes and inland water, and I still need to generate the moisture and rivers.
What do you think? Better?

If I had the cash and thought I'd be stuck in really bad weather, that's what I'd do. Find a nice place to stay, hole up for a while and keep warm.

I can increase the number of polygons per map but we're already at 20000, which may be too many when it comes to displaying it in 3d (if I still decide to do that, not sure right now) and saving it. Or running any other operations while the map is in memory.
I'll certainly see what I can do though :)

However if I do go for 3D it might be easier (depending how I do height and water I might be able to hide the lines a bit more), but I'm not sure if I'm going to go 3D or not yet.
I'll keep it in mind though and if I can find a way to break up the straight lines more I will. Thanks :)
