CarrionCrow: Dear gods, no Reese's Pieces. I'm fat enough as it is, don't need an overpowering urge to devour bagfuls of those.

Felt like grabbing something in general. Just picked up Terra Nova, System Shock 1 and Shadow Watch. That'll do. (For now...)

AgentBirdnest: Heh... Maybe Skittles then; fruit is good for you n__o

Sounds like a nice little bundle. I can't wait to give System Shock a go, once I finally get off my lazy arse and get Windows 7 installed on this old rig :-p
Are you running XP at the mo?

AgentBirdnest: ô__ô
Are they playing Blackwell while doing yoga? :-)
If somebody managed that feat I would be really impressed. :D As I've said, I haven't encountered it myself, but I've heard that it happens. Yoga just makes me happy, so I don't really know. :P

This reminds me that I need to play the last game again sometime soon ... hard as it is ...
Just popping in for another hello! I hope you're all enjoying your day!

Finally found a bit of motivation, playing records while I clean up a bit around the house. Here's what's currently playing:
Lost in the Trees - "An Artist's Song"

FearfulSymmetry: But at least you had a good workout, right? ;) I haven't really looked at the release threads yet so I don't know much about it. Are they blocking it for Germany?
Yes. Today it was really great. We actually had enough people for three full teams :D
Yup. All four games are blocked which is bollocks because neither Quake 2 nor Quake 3 were ever banned in Germany. Technically even Return to Castle Wolfenstein isn't banned (only indexed / blacklisted) but because of the swastikas that's irrelevant.
And GOG isn't a Germany-based store so the German laws don't apply to them.... [/rant]

BillyMaysFan59: Big releases for the FPS crowd today. Shame about the German region locks, but law is law, I suppose...

Good afternoon!
avatar
ElTerprise: Good afternoon.
It's not that easy - it's comes down to the question whether games are art or not. Because being recognised as art in Germany make a huge difference when it comes to the depiction of unconstitutional symbols - that's why movies like Indiana Jones or Inglorious Basterds can depict swastikas etc...
So Wolfenstein and similar games aren't recognized as art, eh? :P

Playing it now - very nice ;-)

Stilton: Are you running XP at the mo?
At this mo, yes. I had a 7 disc that someone gave me, but it was lost for a few years... until I finally found it two days ago. Think I'll install it tomorrow morning :-)

Haha, great! :P

Wow, that's weird. And really lame. I don't endorse that at all. Here's to hoping it might change in the future ...

I was talking to Crow about it - its still an amazing OS for gamers. That and 7 cover everything. You're set, my man!

So sorry to hear that they are blocking these games for you! :(

I tried yoga once. Bought an instructional video tape, tried it at home, nearly died, the end :-p .... I ought to give it another try sometime, that was like a decade ago.

I wanted to start the entire Blackwell series over immediately after finishing it. I was too afraid I'd get bored from playing it again so quickly though, so I promised myself to wait an entire year. December 21... Can't wait :-)

No. Video games in general aren't recognised as art - at least to my knowledge...

Tell that Bethesda...i mean Germans already have that on Steam for years (which isn't a Germany-based store either) but now six items are blocked on GOG too....

Indeed...was a great fun :D

Hope so too. But thanks to Endre i don't have to worry about the Wolfenstein games anymore :D

The whole album is quite beautiful. It usually gives both my "dancing" and crying parts a good workout. :)
