That one also looks interesting, but since I have a massive rage-generating problem with NPC's that behave like five year olds with fresh head trauma, I'll probably wait to see how well the squad mechanics work.
I just got it, so I'll test it and let you know directly! heh

I'm over budget this month, and got a lot of games in the holiday sales too,
though I was just picking up all the ones I've been wanting for years.
At least I've test played almost all of them, so the backlog isn't so pressing. :)
Good Morning!
I'm on holiday, aside from a bit of work later on this week, it's all the way till sunday just nothing to do!
(Except browse the internet and play games!)
Happy to see GF Remaster is getting a warm welcome, and looks like it's well made! So people should be getting into a great gaming experience.
I won't buy anything now. Not a big SW fan these days. But I have my Space Rangers Epic, and think about getting into Simon The Sorcerer maybe later.
Having my morning coffee at evening. That's holiday I guess, no too much hurry :)

By the way. I remember on gog there was talk about The Cornetto Trilogy. My memory is that of a demented hundred-year-old sometimes so no more details. But just watched the last two, Hot Fuzz and The World's End. They were brilliant! Like really amazing. Took me some time to legally get to stream them here in Finland, but I made it. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are just terrific. I even bought some ice cream today to honour those movies, even though it was snowing.

Hey everyone how are you doing?

Making a little progress with the current iteration of my game idea. Changed direction completely but I've made some good progress with my random world generator, based off this awesome website's polygon map generation techniques.

Still needs quite a bit of work and tweaky, but looking pretty world like already. What do you think?

Very nice! ;)
Greetings from a cold and wet place, everyone.

EndreWhiteMane: Morning Agent, nope no adventures today. Had a nifty panic attack yesterday so pretty tired today, feeling better though.
Very glad to hear you're doing well today, you seem a lot better these last couple of weeks, good for you! \o-o/
Pretty 'wrung out' today but so far so good, glad to hear you're well today. ;)
Glad to hear you're feeling better today, fingers crossed it stays that way, and no only for today! (did I just make a rhyme?)

hummer010: That's pretty good! Maybe our GOG overlords can cook something up - although web programming isn't necessarily their strong suit these days. If I had to choose, I'd like to be able to stay logged in instead of having a thread logo.
Emm... was it ever?

Mornin' Hyper. ;)

Is the way the forks nest together in the silverware drawer still called 'spooning'?

While you all think on that I'm going to take a nap.
See you in a bit.

Can't seem to be able to get warm - perhaps the fact that I paid a couple of bills this morning, with more and some taxes to pay tomorrow, has something to do with it? ;-P

Other than that, I'm fairly good. How are you doing? Recovered from the sleepless night you had?

Yep :-) Feeling quite good today. And yes bill paying days can be a tad annoying :D Are you at least a Star Wars fan so that the releases today make you happy?
Just bought Marvel's Secret Wars and Birth of Venom!
Holy shit,I read them when I was a little lad.

C'mon, it's pretty warm and dry, considering it's winter now.

I fear you're not paying close enough attention.
Does that sound like I'm a Star Wars fan? Out of the whole batch (how many are there now?), the only ones that interest me are the two RPGs (and already have KOTOR I, thanks to budejovice' sneakiness - cheers, buddy!) and to a smaller degree the Strategy ones.

But with bills piling up, and some financial 'surprises', as Endre put it, I'm not getting any of them now.
Which also means that I'm kind of relieved about the delay of the Adventure games, as they'd have to go on the Wishlist anyway.

Did you get Grim Fandango?

It is a good game, though it doesn’t really feel like a Star Wars theme.
It is not easy, but not too hard, using your team is necessary if you are going to survive.

The action is good, the weapons are effective, the enemy is plenty,
and most are easily dispatched though their numbers pose a threat,
but there are harder enemies that the whole team has to concentrate on to kill.

The team AI is good, they don’t run in front of you, use cover fairly well,
and the command system is simple yet effective.

Many of the commands are maneuvers that are scripted into the level,
at certain spots, you can have you team members snipe, or toss grenades,
and each team member has specialized skills that they can do,
such as plant explosives, hack terminals or open locked doors,
sometimes whilst under fire.

The team AI also have dialogs they call out, which isn’t annoying,
making observations about your performance as the commander,
and at one point they even told me when I was going in the wrong direction ,
from the current objective.

Most important, I was able to remap the keys very easily (whilst in-game, too),
so it performs much like the modern shooters I'm used to. :D
