I can't make new threads again (it seems to come and go regularly).
Anyway, I'll post here:
Varying Speed of Light v Inflation
---------------------------------------------
I only just heard about this, didn't believe it, and did some Wikipedia research. Has anyone else studied Varying Speed of Light Theory in school? We were only presented with Inflation, which has a few astronomical* holes in it. I took inflation as the best (and only) option, but from what I'm reading, I like VSL far better.
Here's a link:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable_speed_of_light If I'm reading correctly, this guy (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo%C3%A3o_Magueijo ) came up with it using pure mathematics. I found that to be fascinating.
Anyhoots, wondered what some of you armchair physics buffs thought. I'm physics-smart, but not reddit physics people smart. :)
*pun intended. Namely, reversing entropy in a closed system requires another system, which may or may not have existed.
