l0rdtr3k: Fearful, how're you doing? I hope I can get to hug you more and where's Owl?
I haven't seen her in a while. *more hugs*
I'm okay! How are you? I'm not sure about Owl, maybe she's busy with the kitten?

avatar
ddickinson: Good morning, Fearful!

I have been better, but no need to go into all that. How are you, are you having a nice week?

*big hug*
Yep, it's fine so far. Just the usual stuff, nothing very special going on. :) Sorry to hear you're not doing so well. *huge hug*

Stilton: Hi Elt, I'm good.

How's Dune going? I've never read it myself. Is it sci-fi or fantasy or some kind of hybrid?
Glad to hear that.
Well started re-reading it after some years. That's an interesting question. From what i know it shifts from science-fiction in the first trilogy (the one i already know - Dune, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune) towards a more science fantasy setting in the later novels (God Emperor, Herectics and Chapterhouse) but i don't know that for certain because i stopped reading it the last time after one third of God Emperor. But i plan to read the whole series now.

Edit: But something like passing down memories along the generations and children becoming conscious while still unborn definitely borders fantasy.

ddickinson: Hello to all those who arrived since I was last online!

How are you?

ElTerprise: Hello Agent :)
I don't get it ;)....what does that mean?

Doing good here - despite being somewhat exhausted from work....too many pupils in the trains today :)
I can't really decide what my mood is. I can't quite say good or bad or anything in-between. So sometimes I just choose a colour to represent my feelings instead. It is a bit odd, because people will probably interpret my colour totally differently than I will, but at the same time that is kinda the point, because there is no "one way" to describe how I'm feeling. All colours are beautiful, though... and there are quite a lot of them, so there is always one that fits :-)

Glad you are good ;-)

Its nice having a huge amount of reading to do - the anticipation of immersing yourself in a richly conceived world is pleasantly luxurious. I love taking myself elsewhere in a book for big chunks of time.

That is good to hear. Thank you. I will be fine, just a bit warn out from everything. But I am done bringing my health trouble here, I think from now on I will just stick to my doing good responses and not mention anything else as it just makes the place a little depressing. :-)

Hello, Mr T!

Erm…. for the honest answer see my reply to Agent this morning, but other than that my answer will be good from now on, at least. :-)

How are you?

Good books! God Emperor and Heretics are my favourite because they are very philosophical and even consider the pros and cons of different forms of society. Children I found a bit dragging. And Chapterhouse... it's a nice conclusion but I had the feeling Herbert was really glad to finally put an end to the series.

I see. Well i would interpret green as good :)
But you do feel better than sunday during the Terraria session right?

Definitely. That's why i really like those kind of multi book series. Loved reading Lord of the Rings plus Hobbit (unfortunately the German translation of the Hobbit is nowhere near as good as the translation of Lord of The Rings (which used terms suggested by Tolkien himself)). Guess i might return to ASoIaF when i'm done with Dune....still haven't finished A Game of Thrones....

Oh sorry to hear about the bad news - but let's talk talk about that *big hug* :)
But otherwise i'm glad to hear that :)

Despite being a bit tired from work - i'm doing good :)

Nah, it's not so bad! Besides, this place would get artificial real quick if we only mentioned the good things that happen to us. :P I know I sometimes complain as well, and it can actually be quite nice to get your troubles off your chest. And I'm sure the people in here don't mind it, I don't mind reading it either. :)

No need to be sorry, me being ill is one thing that we can't blame on ELT (or can we?). :-)

Have you been working more late nights, or have they just been long days?

True, but for me it's more of a case of telling people rather than getting things off my chest (if that makes sense). I have a lovely and supportive wife for all that, and I just don't want to keep going on about me when I know others are having their own problems. I know people don't really mind, but still I think I will try to be more positive on here and skip over the health stuff like I was doing before. :-)
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone.

Hopefully you're all doing at least fairly well aside from health problems, unknown difficulties or taking large machines to the face.

Hi, Crow.

Doing well here. Getting a second PC sorted out so I'll have fewer OS issues with my growing list of games.

How's life there?

We cannot :)

I hope i'm done with late night / early morning appointments. Today the trains were just more crowded than they used to be.

Hello Crow.
Doing good here - aside from feeling a bit tired - reasons see above :)

*looks at clock and tried to work out time zone*

Good morning, Crow!

How are you today, did you get some decent non-keyboard sleep?

You give up way too easily. I am sure we can still find a way to blame it on you if we try. :-)

Do you have many more early morning and late nights to work? Do you get to chose when you work, or is it when they need you?

Good Morning Every One And All!

80 Days looks kinda cool. Why not the animal characters though? :p
Still it might be alright...
Ah so awesome to have a moped instead of bicycle!
Agent! May I request you to burn all the bicycles of the world? :)
We don't need them!

Good plan. One of my roommates has a computer that's really only viable on any level because it still has XP in its guts. Have told them repeatedly that I have dibs on it whenever they decide they want it out of their room.

Pretty quiet here overall. Fiddling around on the computer while getting my drug levels back to normal. Usual stuff.
