Stilton: Bank robbery's a pretty loose definition, these days, when you consider how much certain 'stars' of the film and music industries make. An additional problem is that they're given a voice because they're so fantastic and talented, which most of the time sounds like a deaf retard yelling into a megaphone. Madonna comes to mind...
It's an idiotic world, and general standards are very, very low. Thinking on that makes me happy in a "reality isn't going to catch up to science fiction before the world implodes" sort of way.

NoNewTaleToTell: The so called "ace" Decker in Shadowrun Returns is actually fairly useless compared to every other Decker you can hire, really wish I hadn't hired him. And of course I'm stuck with him on the longest most drawn out Matrix level yet...

So that's my "I like this game but NOT this part" update.

How are ya'll doing at whatever time it is for you?
Almost 11am here and I'm trying to choose a game to play - the first problem of the day. It could all go downhill from here...

Indeed, most important decision of the day! What are the main candidates?

Yes, they're pretty much total garbage. Bad news is, they aren't the only one. You'll run across one more character from the pen and paper books who's heavily hyped but in actuality eats several acres of ass. And you have to bring that one along for the last level. Good luck.

Resonance, Legend of Grimrock, Papers Please, Spacechem, with the possibility of Volgarr the Viking if I'm feeling particularly masochistic... A fairly eclectic bunch, hence my dilemma. Tread with caution - my whole day could hinge on this...

They all seem pretty slow and plodding maybe you need something with a bit more action to start your day?

Shadowrun Returns could be thrown into the mix. Is that actiony?

Not really Volgarr is Action but since it's impossible it turns to slower then wading through setting concrete from my experience...

Oh wonderful. To be fair they can't be anymore useless than Coyote or this new guy....right? I swear Coyote couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if she was standing inside of one! Me being stupid and expecting some flavor dialogue, I took her along on this trip. Did I mention I was being stupid when I made that decision? It's a good thing my character is good enough to carry the entire party on her back.

Well Shadowrun Returns is a turn based RPG, but it's more of the Fallout style of turn based RPG where you can kinda run and gun rather than the "you must stand still and allow the enemy a chance to hit you when the battle begins" style of turn based combat. So to answer your question...it's about as action-y as a turn based RPG can get.

Unfortunately I've not played any of the games on your list despite owning at least one (Legend of Grimrock). I'll leave this to someone with actual experience with them, as Cecil seems to have.

Hello. Doing good here - what about you?

Papers, Please is a great game - although it can be quite depressing due to its theme.
Good morning, everyone!

Today is a lovely day, as InXile finally started their Backer's Page for The Bard's Tale IV and I was able to redeem my Wasteland 2 key - just that I won't have time to play as I'm visiting my parents this weekend. But that's also something I've been looking forward to for quite a long time, as I haven't seen my family since January.

Folks, this weekend is gonna be awesome! *cheerful hug*

I'd say their level of ineptitude lies somewhere between Coyote and Dodger. Dodger is gods-damned awful across the board, to the point that you have to wonder how they're still alive. Who you're going to pick up will bring you the joy of them missing sword attacks at point blank range despite them being a supposed specialist in melee, combined with missing at least 50 percent of all shots with a gun.
But, on the bright side, you don't have to take Coyote on the last level. Instead, you can go with a generic goon who carries a special weapon. It pisses away any idea of going on missions with interesting characters, opting instead for Cardboard Cutout Number 73. But, the generic goons can at least hit shit with some degree of accuracy, so you'll probably see it as a big plus.

I think I feel like something involving, so Papers could be a good choice. That or Resonance.

As a subject change, I wonder how Bete and Lancelot are doing. Well, I hope.

All right, time to sleep before I crash out here again. That would be bad.

Have a good day, everyone. =)
