CarrionCrow: Yes, they're pretty much total garbage. Bad news is, they aren't the only one. You'll run across one more character from the pen and paper books who's heavily hyped but in actuality eats several acres of ass. And you have to bring that one along for the last level. Good luck.
Oh wonderful. To be fair they can't be anymore useless than Coyote or this new guy....right? I swear Coyote couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if she was standing inside of one! Me being stupid and expecting some flavor dialogue, I took her along on this trip. Did I mention I was being stupid when I made that decision? It's a good thing my character is good enough to carry the entire party on her back.
cecil: They all seem pretty slow and plodding maybe you need something with a bit more action to start your day?
Stilton: Shadowrun Returns could be thrown into the mix. Is that actiony?
Well Shadowrun Returns is a turn based RPG, but it's more of the Fallout style of turn based RPG where you can kinda run and gun rather than the "you must stand still and allow the enemy a chance to hit you when the battle begins" style of turn based combat. So to answer your question...it's about as action-y as a turn based RPG can get.
Unfortunately I've not played any of the games on your list despite owning at least one (Legend of Grimrock). I'll leave this to someone with actual experience with them, as Cecil seems to have.
