CarrionCrow: Also need to get a run of Sam and Max going. I had the Telltale games for quite a while, but it doesn't feel right playing those without completing the first in the series.
That's part of the reason I never started the Telltale ones, even after I picked them up during different sales. I'm really enjoying S&M:HtR (even if I do giggle inappropriately every time I type out "S&M"); it has excellent voice acting, and the animations are just amazing. I suspect Telltale's games will actually be somewhat of a letdown in comparison, just because I still generally prefer pixel art to 3D. I'm old-fashioned that way.
Grim I've been looking forward to just because it's so incredibly unique and I never got to play the original - I can deal with 3D there. *g* Speaking of... If it hadn't been for xckx's generosity and some amazing luck on my part, I too would be waiting until this weekend to buy/play Grim. Somehow, I actually won his giveaway for it and, if I'm being honest, have been looking plaintively at it every single day on my game shelf, waiting for the "Soon" flag to go away. Yep, I'm pathetic sometimes.
CarrionCrow: I'm glad your condition's improving, although it still sounds like a pile of miserable shit you're having to deal with.
The whole inability to breathe thing seems like it could be problematic. (Also, I'm now envisioning you sitting at a computer while packing the same skin tone as a Smurf...)
<snip>
Furniture's nothing, it's the frigging cats wanting to rub against my leg while I walk that's the real concern.
The fluffy little buggers don't comprehend "If the giant falls on you after you trip them up, you will die."
Bwahahahahah. Nope, not looking like a Smurf, although that's a pretty funny image indeed. It's still a miserable pile of crap, yes, although less miserable than yesterday, so I'll take what I can get. I really hate how these things can come on in less than an hour. Wake up feeling great, by noon snuffing and choking and wheezing. Bleh.
Our cats do this, too. When we had six, they ranged in age from 18 to 2. Even the eldest, who definitely knew better, would walk between my ankles for attention. Now that we have three (two age 15 and one almost 5), they're just as bad. The 15-year-olds are more demanding than the youngest one, since in their minds, they're still kittens. In my mind, they've outlived their mother, so they're entitled to it. :) Even if I do swear at them every I trip over one of them.
ETA: Bleh. So much for Double Fine's "tightening up the optimization" for Grim before release. It's still demanding OpenGL 3.3, and this computer can only do 3.1. I'll be stealing my hubby's for this game... tomorrow. >.<
