Luckily today I'm off and home all day brewing up a doppelbock for Thanksgiving so I knew I didn't have anything that required me to be responsible and / or up early ;)

Funny all the talk about burnt hair - fun fact about me - while I like to cook, I'm terrified of gas so I'm actually glad for my electric stove / oven. Also, I LOST IT last night playing Shadow Warrior because at one point, my character remarks "When I do that they smell like burnt taint!" I was in hysterics at my keyboard for about five minutes.

Well, gas does have that fun habit of exploding and setting things ablaze. If you're really lucky, a dog can hit the burner control and it's like a horror movie deathtrap when you walk in and the house is filling up with it.

LOL yup that's what always scared me! It's excellent for cooking (good to have the flame) but nah-ah for me.

Yeah, the day gets exciting real quick when you catch that distinct odor as soon as you open the door. Then it turns into, "Oh shit, need to vent everything right now."

Very much in agreement with you. It's like with high-powered gas barbecues. I love barbecued food, but the one here is so powerful that it can all go horribly wrong in about ten seconds flat.

I've always preferred Classical Gas myself.

Doing all right here. Coffee, cigarettes, forum and Doom 2 at the moment. Good game from a historical perspective, but won't be running back to play it immediately after beating it. Quake flows better to me.
Looking forward to getting ahold of System Shock as well. Have been waiting for years to see that here.

I've been weeaning myself off the Elder Scrolls expectations when playing Fallout and I'm beginning to rather enjoy it.

I still think the control interface is clunky as hell though.

And I'm even feeling confident enough to try my hand at a custom character. I'm thinking; sharpshooter with lots of AP and moderate bartering.

Any recs?
