I'm glad to hear that. I will keep my fingers crossed that everything will be okay.

Peacocks are very pretty, with some lovely colours. They are also quite friendly, at least the ones in a nearby park are.

Edit: Now I'm picturing a peacock wearing the US army helmet from your avatar. :-)

Something completely different: about your giveaway. Can you forgive me if I do not enter? The reason is that all the new LucasArts games are only Star Wars games and I am not interested in them at all. And I have the only three other LA games on a disk at home and they are still working fine. So while I might buy them sometime in the future just as backup I would feel bad about entering your giveaway since other people might really get I game they do not have and will enjoy a lot.

ddickinson: Good day, everyone!

How are you all is fine day? I hope you are all doing okay? Hugs all around. *higs*
Good afternoon. =)

Can't complain here, coming up on a quiet 4 am and a lot of coffee.

Good to see that you're in a happy mood today. =)

Are you sure? You can always pick a non-Lucas Arts game as a prize if you win?

It is a bit disappointing that they are all Star Wars games this batch. I guess they are getting them all released before the new batch of movies are released.

That must be some good coffee to be keeping you awake this long. :-)

I'm glad you are doing okay. I think finishing the main structure of one of the big greenhouses we're building on the farm has helped to cheer me up (and at least now I know how to do it properly, so the second and third shouldn't be so hard). Now it just needs the glass and then onto the next greenhouse. :-)

It's a marketing thing, I'm sure. The Lucasarts adventure core is going to be here regardless, but the Star Wars thing has a lot of extra hype, amusingly enough because Lucas is no longer involved to turn the movies into painful garbage.
Also, it actually looks like Disney is wanting to support the deal with GOG and put some publicity behind it. Not surprising since their video game division has been eating crap for quite a while.

Huh? Guess I missed that part I thought it was about LucasArts games. I will go and check my wishlist to see if there is anything that I really have a desire to play in the near future :-)

It's not nearly so much quality as quantity. I couldn't afford my obsessive game buying if I had obsessive coffee purchasing to do as well. -laughs-

I envy your abilities. I could destroy something fairly easily, but actually building something? Probably wouldn't end well.
Good morning, all. I hope everyone's doing well

I definitely have a sinus infection, which made yesterday absolutely miserable. I'm hoping that today will be better; by the time I got to bed I was almost feeling human again. I just want my head to stop being nothing but one big mucus machine! Thank goodness I work from home and can give myself sick time as needed, because I can't concentrate on software testing or documentation writing to save my life right now.

If nothing else, I'm planning on finally hooking the laptop up the living room tv today and playing a game or two on a larger screen. It's too bad the living room tv isn't a 40-plus-inch screen like my father-in-law's is, but it's still big enough it should be fun. Sometimes it's just those little things. :)

I am a complete greenhouse fanatic, wish I had the space to build one where I live now. Are these for starter plants or will you be maturing produce in them?
If you mention hydroponics I WILL be buying a ticket to England very soon! :-)

Sinus infections are horrible, I feel for you. They can turn very nasty if not cared for, are you on any meds for it?

It was about Lucas Arts games mainly, but I knew there was a chance of only Star Wars games, and I wanted everyone on the thread to be able to enter and maybe win themselves a game. If none of the games appeal to you from the current batch, feel free to pick any game on GOG ($9.99 or under).

We are planning on using three large greenhouses to grow some more exotic fruits during the summer. It will also allow us to grow more crops during the winter time, as the soil will be better protected. We are thinking of making a bio-gas generator to help heat the greenhouses during the winter, using animal waste mainly as fuel. But that's not a priority at the moment. I'm hoping to have them finished before we get too much snow, so that they are all ready for spring/summer. Winter is usually a busy time making repairs and getting things ready for the more hectic seasons.

I'm sorry to hear you have not been well, sinus infections can be so horrible. Fingers crossed you will be better in no time. How is your father-in-law managing now he is back home after the operation? I hope you are all coping okay?

By the way, I can't remember if I mentioned a little thread giveaway I am hosting for all the regulars on this thread. If you would like to enter, then please feel free, you are more than welcome.

We already have a few greenhouses for starter plants, but we want some extra and larger greenhouses to be able to fully mature produce as well, especially as we are trying to see how feasible not slaughtering animals is this year. It's quite hard work building them, especially with all the other things that need doing around the farm. But I enjoy it, it's been quite a challenge figuring it all out, and hopefully come summer it will all be worth the effort and the cost. No plans for hydroponics at the moment, but it is something we talked about if things turn out okay with the greenhouses.

Ooh, I missed this, above. I'm a little envious; my husband really wants a greenhouse, but we don't really have the room right now. For now, he has all sorts of small-scale algae/hydroponics plans for the interim. Someday...

EndreWhiteMane: Sinus infections are horrible, I feel for you. They can turn very nasty if not cared for, are you on any meds for it?
Just Tylenol and tea/lots of fluids, at the moment. I'm a bit limited right now as to what meds I can take, due to some other things going on, and I'm still waiting to hear about qualifying for free medical insurance. Sadly, I have lots of experience with sinus infections. Long story short, my lower jaw didn't develop properly, so it's short. (I have an overbite, but it's not noticeable these days due to a bridge.) In turn, after several years, the doctors finally realized that screwed up my sinuses, as they didn't have the normal amount of space, which made allergies, sinus infections, and ear infections all much more common. ("History of chronic ear infections" is phrase which has made even the most obnoxious of walk-in clinic doctors shut up and take me seriously.)

So. Yeah. I'm basically just trying to cough/blow/otherwise get out as much of this crap as I can so that it doesn't settle into bronchitis, which I'm highly susceptible to, due to a history of multiple bouts of it. I've avoided it for some years now, even with the odd sinus infection, so here's hoping my luck holds.

It's also why I'm up right now; as screwed up as my sleeping schedule has been due to my normal insomnia, I'm not normally wide awake at 4:00 a.m. after going to bed at midnight, but I spent something like 12-14 hours in bed asleep yesterday before forcing myself to get vertical.

Thank you! I'm really hoping for a quick recovery, too. Dad's been doing better, although getting his stitches out a couple days ago had some - as he put it - "sideways" news, as there's another part of his foot that they're concerned about now. We're hoping that a few more weeks of IV antibiotics will clear it up without need for further surgery. We're pretty much coping well, overall. He's keeping a positive attitude about it, as far as I can tell.

I must have missed the giveaway announcement; thank you. :) I'll take a look.

*drinks coffee* Hello there people. How you're doing?
I just woke up and I'm still tired. Just took a shower and now I'm enjoying a good breakfast.
Good morning/afternoon/other, everybody !!!
I hope you're having a lovely day :-)
