CarrionCrow: True, but the Blade of Darkness thing reminded me that something can get pulled with almost no warning at all.
That went from here to gone within roughly 4 hours if I remember correctly.
4 hours? You're too generous. Less than 2, I would say.

Sheesh...I knew it was short, but didn't remember it being that short.
But that's exactly what I was referring to. All it takes is a dispute, a license issue, any kind of problem, and a game can get pulled in no time.

CarrionCrow: New releases, stuff I've heard is really frigging awful from people, stuff I was on the fence about putting there, all that good stuff.
Just checked. I've got 537, and the list is now at 173. So even with adding another 23 items to the list, if I had everything right now, that's still roughly 200 items that I wouldn't have, since GOG says that their game catalog is 912 right now.

Also, looking through the game listings, I got reminded that Sunless Sea is going to be here. Looking forward to trying that one.

To be honest, though, whenever I get that cleared, I'll probably start picking up old titles regardless of interest.
Those are the ones that I worry about getting pulled before I can retrieve them.

And the Deja Vu/Deja Vu 2/Shadowgate Classic/Uninvited stuff that's supposed to be coming our way, probably before summer. I definitely want those in the collection as well.

gunsynd: So you um wan't to be able to say one day in the near future, well that's it I can't buy any more Gog games because I own the lot???
Probably not. If it's not good, decent, somehow interesting (whether surprisingly pleasant or hilariously bad) or generally rare? I won't buy it.

More than a few independent games, for instance. They aren't going to be rare and they don't appeal to me, so I won't buy them, regardless of price.

CarrionCrow: Also, just to switch subjects for a sec - Just noticed that you have the Atlantis series. What do you think of that overall? Haven't played them, reviews tend to be less than great, but I'm still curious.
Honest answer? I have not played them yet... my backlog is just too big :P

Honesty's always good. =)

No judgments here, I've got an insane backlog of stuff. I've got stuff from over a year ago that I haven't managed to get to yet.

Yeah :-) I don't have that much time and in the last few month I was feeling tired a lot and did not play much. I'll be quite happy when I get three weeks of holidays in May/June, I'll take some games with me and play through some stuff :D

Sounds like a plan. ;)

Holiday sounds good, but hopefully you'll be feeling better well before May comes along.

I hope so too. It seems like I had some bad luck at the moment. Some old stuff resurfaced and than I got sick (because I was unlucky enough to get caught in heavy rain since my umbrella broke due to wind). But at least now it can only get better ;-)

Because of memories. I am working through that, but at the moment I am just not really ready to face all of that stuff.

I guess whoever wanted it pulled wanted it done immediately, for whatever reason.
Why some person or group would want their game removed from a place where it gets actual exposure and a chance at profitability is beyond me.

At least in the case of Blade of Darkness, Codemaster's license expired, so they had to pull it down.
