CarrionCrow: A thought - buy the games before the whiskey gets involved. Drunk impulse buying sounds like a great way to screw up a budget.
Probably wise. :)

Not nearly so much wisdom as seeing myself doing that kind of crap. Half a bottle in and it'd be time to play "chop the wishlist".

Okay, I guess it's time for my old bones to turn in. Have a good night.

A-hoy ye seasoned sailors and mountaineering princesses! ;)
There's that viking game again on sale in humble!
Got it this time...
Oh okay now back to work :p
Not quite feeling like playing any games at the moment so I'm listening to Johnny Winter: Captured Live, a six song live album.

Johnny was an absolutely fantastic guitarist and a great singer, a blues based rocker, at one point he was considered to be THE next biggest rock icon and was given the largest (at the time) advance for a musician, six hundred thousand bucks. Despite being pegged as a future rock superstar, Johnny actually loved the blues more than rock and it wasn't really close, but it paid the bills, even if he publicly never loved rock. At one concert in the 70s or 80s he changed one song's line to something like "Rock and roll is a *bleeping* drag!".

Captured Live (from 1976) shows Johnny at the top of his rock phase, two of the songs devolve into ten minute plus classic rock guitar jam territory and let me tell you, Johnny could shred just as well as (if not better than) Dimebag Darrell or any other "shred superstar" of "modern" times. Highway 61 Revisited is the highlight to me, but it's all great high energy rock.

As a side note, Johnny had a brother that was also a big name musician, Edgar Winter of the Edgar Winter Group, who had a few hits like Frankenstein and Free Ride.

Good morning. =)

-passes over the extra-extra-extra large coffee mug since we don't need you falling asleep in the wading pool-

Can't complain too much here. Hands have kinda stopped working after 9 hours of video games, but I can still type with my nose so it's okay.

How are you doing today besides wanting to go back to bed?

GR00T: Shit, that Humble 'build your own' Double Fine bundle looks awful tempting. But damn, I don't need more games in the backlog. Really on the fence on whether to pull the trigger or just say 'screw it' and wait until GOG's upcoming sale (you just know there's going to be one).

*edit* on a side note, taking the wife to the doctor tomorrow for her third and final injection to her knee. Not a fun experience for her. That's going to suck. Then there's the youngest daughter wuth her badly sprained ankle doing some physio. *sigh* Maybe I need to buy some games to cheer me up...
Hehe, starting a post with "I don't need more games in the backlog" and ending it with "Maybe I need to buy some games to cheer me up"... I think we are many in your situation... should make a club...
I'm glad I manage to stay away of that shiny tempting Humble site... :)
