CarrionCrow: Hmm. Humble's trying to jump out in front for a bit with a big sale. Wonder if any decent rentals will come along.

NoNewTaleToTell: So far nothing interesting that I see.
Likewise. Nothing that comes close to the interest level on GOG's items.
Still have that long overdue date with Eye of the Beholder, just to name one.
goood mooorning!
last night was really tired, got into two worlds 2. was thinking, 'alright let's progress in the main quest,' but then I got distracted with horse riding since it was so much fun, and then got me a side quest... so it was bye-bye for the story... next I was halfway to the side quest's destination, and found a cave... so of course soon the hero found himself in this longwinded cavern beating up dangerous monsters... halfway there I was so tired had to sleep. So... zero progress and lost in the middle of some odd place... nice :)

Good morning. =)

To me, that's a sign of a fun game. When there's so much to do that you keep getting detoured, and you're interested in what keeps showing up, that's good.
Some Hyperspace journeys in Star Control 2 are reeeal long.... :P

No mid-hyperspace movie to keep the crew entertained?

Yeah, although I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Humble Bundle anyway, they ate a friend of mine's money due to a glitch on their (Humble Bundle) end.

Bad business right there. They're not thinking long-term. Losing a customer over a few dollars is silly when you're sitting on stacks of it.

Same same. Anything I might be interested in, I've already got. Although I did pick up the freebie and I also grabbed the Weekly Bundle (lowest tier), as I had none of those.

Right. Pretty sure I can count on both hands how many rental items I actually have a serious interest in.
GOG, on the other hand, continues to tempt me towards destitution with dozens of items. (And that's after I cut down my wishlist significantly.)

Yeah... I guess you're right. And as a bonus, the hero gets experience, and then there are some bonus level-ups if I play this way, which means there's no need to think carefully about skill point distribution, I can get lots of interesting skills up, like pickpocketing :)

uh was thinking of buying a Dead Rabbits album from bandcamp... asked my wife for opinion, she was like 'I don't like it. Little bit crazy.' :)

Eventually your character's going to be a master in everything from explosives to gourmet egg preparation.
It's always funny when that happens in an RPG. People in the game spend their lives becoming experts in one, maybe two things, similar to how it works in the real world. But then you've got some random guy who magically transforms from peon to demi-god over the course of a few weeks time.

That is kinda funny :) people in-game are taking this at a slow pace, some perhaps joining the hero's group... but this one guy/gal just goes everywhere and talks with everyone :) solves a lots of problems, beats a thousand monsters and then still has time to go burglarize and pick pockets, and then go talk to some more people like it's alright, nothing special going on :)

-laughs - The player character fast track. Makes me think of playing Fallout 3. Started out as a teenager, didn't know shit about anything, but a few weeks and they're a master of everything. Ultimate explorer, ultimate fighter, total kleptomaniac like your TWT character, and like your character no one gave a damn since I was basically Wasteland Jesus.

That could either be the name of a really interesting band, or a really terrible one, depending on which direction they took it.
