j0ekerr: Wait, does that mean I can pay in dollars if I want to now? Where does that leave regional pricing? What the hell is going on?

Everybody start hollering and engage in a "we're all gonna die!" mad orgy of frenzied destruction.
You could always pay in dollar, that option never went away. Regional prices still apply, you just pay in a different currency ;-)

xojio: thank you for the quick reply! have you or... anyone have problems with the customer support? i read somewhere that someone purchased a game and it was it was originally a stolen hotkey thing and couldnt get a refund. the DK games arent a massive loss if so just want to make sure im not investing into something fake D:
avatar
moonshineshadow: What you read is people buying games on shady keyseller sites, redeeming them here and then wanting back money from gog even if they did not buy the game here and should have the talk with their keyseller ;-)
Support is normally good even if it is sometimes a bit slow.
Aaah the memories, the laughs, the butthurt, the forum meltdowns, the boots to the head.

Amusing for me, but I suppose an annoying facepalm for the support people. Having to be polite to obnoxious abusive morons is exhausting.

CarrionCrow: You're welcome. =)

My advice would be to avoid the key resellers when it comes to GOG. If you're not getting it from here, you run the risk of something going wrong. GOG has no authorized key resellers, so if you see keys they're coming from grey market vendors who might be using stolen credit cards to get codes.
There are sales here frequently. Every Monday to Wednesday, and every Friday to Monday, and that's not counting large sales that show up every few months. You can save a lot of money along with being confident that every game purchase is legal and valid by shopping directly from the store here.
Key re-sellers is a grey market. As such, I have a libertarian friend who focuses exclusively on the market word and sees nothing wrong with it.

I usually want to smack him on the head, but he always foots the bill when we go out for tapas, so I don't.

Stolen credit cards would make it a "black market" since we're talking stolen goods.
Ebay can be a sort of a grey market as well. That's actually how I got my nook.

Look at the right bottom corner, normally you should be able to change the currency there. If you can not, try logging out and clearing your cookies. gog servers sometimes are a bit wonky when there are tons of releases like today (more than 15 games).

It's character creation time! Hopefully it won't take an hour to decide what to make. -laughs-

No it'll take 3. Because now that you're familiar with the character creation process and what the different stats do, you will not be able to resist munchkinizing your character.

Break out that graph calculator and... Pimp my character sheet.

Most of the people in this thread, including me, have purchased literally hundreds of games here.
I've never had a significant problem with GOG, I always buy here when given the choice.

I already know what stats to pick, more or less. I don't deal in characters who are mediocre multitaskers. I prefer specialists. The tricky part is the character concept.

I almost never go down to the very bottom. It's come up as a surprise that I can change that setting there.

The more you know.
