Appreciating her generosity that much more since the game got pulled from the catalog today.

ElTerprise: Yes read that earlier. Apparently the only place to get that one and Constructor is DotEmu.....
But i actually have no idea what these are actually about...the flew under the radar in my case....
It's one of the titles I noticed from digging around on the internet years ago. That's largely how I learned about so many of the games that've ended up here.
Things like Harvester or Albion don't get much attention from the current game media. Probably because I can't think of any form of culture that's more willing to grind its own past to paste in favor of trying to get people hooked on the latest hollow but shiny shit the way the game industry does.

Amen to that. That's why i generally don't read much from game media sites. Most of the articles are clickbaits and i don't trust their reviews...there is no way that (rail) shooters like Call of Duty are objectively that good...
It's a shame that those site usually tend forget about those classic games and aside from Witcher GOG isn't mentioned that often either....

And it was the Witcher (1) that got me here after all and i also had to do some research about a lot of classic games here because those are largely ignored indeed......

Another casualty? Dayum!

By the way, there's a whole family doing "botellon" right outside my window.

It has a wilkipedia entry?!

Good Night Moon *big good night hug* Sleep well :)
Ah clickbait links, who can resist the lure of "you'll never imagine which ten celebrity sluts have been boning what famous manwhores"?

I think I got here through some forum in a thread about the steam summer sale. There was an image... showing a knight on a horse with a lance and gog written on his shield.

The rest is history.

Yeah, I don't read much of the media stuff either. So much of it is crap that there's no interest. Think I read more of Rock Paper Shotgun than anything else, but even that doesn't have me clicking there and checking it out every day.

Would agree, the reviews generally feel off, so I don't go by those. Most of my game purchasing process boils down to gut feeling, and it tends to work pretty well. Granted, my gut also tells me to pick up games I know will be horrible, since it's an asshole, but it only does that out of malice towards me, not because it's lying to make money for people.

Actually i can resist those things because i generally detest all yellow press and all related - i don't care about the affairs of some (pseudo-)celebrity but i'm actually really angered about clickbait links on games media sites...Windows 10 is a popular clickbait topic currently....

Did the knight plan to fight windmills?

Yes, there have been a few. Still vaguely annoyed at missing my chance to grab things like Cryostatis, XIII or Scratches. But on the bright side, I have hundreds of other items, so it does even out pretty well overall.

That is a very succinct version of a term I already have. I call it "dumbasses loitering, getting drunk and being annoying", AKA "You fuckers are lucky it's not legal to throw bottles at people".

Yes i also regularly check Rock, Paper, Shotgun and one or two German media sites....and for reviews/first impressions i usually watch the WTF is....(in case a game is covered there). But i also go by my gut feeling...

I used to do botellon back in the day, in a large public plaza or near the riverbanks. Of course I was barely 18.

Interestingly, lots of the conversations I had and heard around me at the time, involved the possibilities of combining dementation with presence or domination, as well as discussions on the exact effects of protean and animalism and what had happened to the surviving Salubri.

Good times.

At least the topics were interesting. Thinking there'd be some overlap in the presence/dominate combo with dementation. With one, you could essentially crack open their mind like an egg and either shove crazy in/let it all pour out, while the other combo could consist as such fun things as people being willing to mutilate themselves on the spot as a form of worship after the crazy injection erodes the person's basic self-preservation.

I don't really watch video reviews anymore. Closest I get to that is seeing something on a Let's Play and checking it out based on what I see. But even then, a lot of the time I already have the gut feeling so I avoid the whole thing to prevent spoilers.
