Good evening. =)

Didn't enter since me entering a giveaway is pretty absurd with Mount Backlog growing more monstrous by the day, but I did make sure to hit your posts with +1's for the generosity of it.

No, you're not alone. I'm usually around, even if I'm not in a talkative mood at the time.

Staying awake for that and Shadowrun Hong Kong. (Well, those things combined with me having slept too much earlier, sending my day/night cycle into even more of a tailspin.)

I'm not big on speculating, but if it's a barrage of Gold Box, they're all getting purchased. Maybe not today, but every last one of them will end up on my shelf.

Yeah I can understand about not wanting to talk, sometimes just lurking is enough :D

So the Shadowrun game is going to be released today?

I am not really into speculating and to be honest, I don't expect the games to be something I really need, since there are only 3 games I would instantly buy without thinking about it, but I don't expect to see them here. I am more curious to see if the releases will be worth the hype :D

If I talked without having anything to say, it'd just be hollow crap. No point to that.

Yes, it's coming out today. When exactly is the big question. Thinking the developer will want it to come out simultaneously on all services, so it might not be out for another 9 and a half hours since the rental service is running their pre-order until then, but I can't say for sure.

If it's Gold Box, you're going to see a lot of people get very, very happy, some people who will say that it isn't a big deal since the games are antiquated and hard to get into, you'll get some who are indifferent and some who wanted it to be something else big.
As for me, I've been wanting to buy a legal copy of Eye of the Beholder that will run properly for something like 20+ years now.

What 3 games are your must-haves?

Hmmm.... so Eye of the Beholder belongs to this Gold Box games? OK I am intrigued now. I mean I love Lands of Lore and people always say that eye of the Beholder is really great and similar. You just managed to make me a bit excited for the releases today :D

The games I would really love to see here, are the three games I never managed to run on newer systems myself. Asghan the Dragonslayer, Indy Desktop Adventures and Pizza Connection. The first two won't even install since they are 16bit installers and the last one runs with DosBox but has no sound....

According to my backerkit page, my key for the game will start working at 10AM PST. Whenever that is. :P

Hi everyone, how are you all doing? I'm not exactly having the greatest day so far, due to several reasons. One of which is the feeling that I've recently become invisible, or something.

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently it's already been 10AM PST?

Yes, all three of the games in the series are. They're definitely of the same style as Lands of Lore, only the mechanics are based around Dungeons and Dragons. Aside from that, they're heavy-duty dungeon crawlers. No auto mapping, no hand holding, and they will kill you if they get half a chance.

Three games I've never heard of. And I thought I was fairly knowledgeable. -laughs-
You never know, they might show up here someday. Lots of items people thought had no chance have appeared, so it's at least possible.

Good morning. =) Thank you for the confirmation, thought that would be the case.

Hmm. You think you might be a ghost? Well, allow me to fix that. -hurls stale cookies at your head- See? If you were invisible, I wouldn't be able to ponk you in the skull with petrified Oreos. =)

(Seriously though, I hope your day gets better. Never fond of seeing decent people have rough times.)

Actually, it's 12:47 am PST as we speak. 9 hours, 13 minutes to go.

*big you are not invisible hug* I hope things will get better for you. Feel free to talk about it if you want :-)

That sounds like fun. No automapping? Time to get out a good old block and draw one :D

I don't think Asghan will appear, it was pretty obscur and no idea who holds the rights now. Best chances are for Indy Desktop Adventuers since it is an LA game.

I suppose it's possible. Maybe it's some Sixth Sense scenario where I'm only able to communicate over the internet? :P *extracts digital oreo cookie from forehead*

It's okay, my family is kind of abrasive at the best of times, it's just getting to me today for some reason.

But isn't that for PM? Because the backerkit says 10AM? I give up, I suck at timezones. :P

EDIT: Oh no, wait, I see! Yep, timezones really are above my level of comprehension today.

I have graph paper on hand already. Course, I do cartography like a paraplegic does tap dancing, so it should be an interesting (maddening) experience.

From what I'm seeing, Silmaris is the developer. That's a good thing, since GOG already has a number of their games on the site. It says the publisher is Grolier Interactive, which I've never heard of before, and the box cover has a Ubi Soft logo on it. Not sure how they fit into things, but if they have the rights there's at least potential.
