And here's me when you all went to sleep? :)

Wow it's strange finishing a game, that you don't like the ending of but loved playing.
And there's still a slight chance that there is another kind of ending.
But would that be any better?
Argh.

Also i'm going for a hunt today, of a jumping'n'shooting variety, and it needs to be either 2D or 2,5D... I got the orders from The Very Top (tm) aka The Wife (tm).

alright Soup Stand signing out.

Roger, Roger, check the Vector Hector!

Hmm. Finally come out of my semi-coma, and everyone's asleep. Go figure.
and now for another Gunther Goth vs The World update

For those unaware of the ongoing story, go to pages 3095 and 3096. I would link them myself but GOG breaks the links for some reason.

It had been just around a week since Gunther had warmly welcomed Elliott into his home. At the time Elliott just seemed like a friendly old man new to the city and in need of friends. Gunther, being the kind man he was, took it upon himself to be the friend that he thought Elliott needed.

In just the past few days Gunther had paid gravely for this mistake. Elliott had stolen his wife Cornelia from him, beaten him up and insulted him in public, moved into the Goth family home forcing Gunther to share the same roof with him, Elliott had even cost him his son Mortimer due to taking up all of Cornelia's attention, leaving Mortimer neglected, eventually to be taken away.

Gunther often cried over not being able to see Mortimer anymore, and over Cornelia leaving him. Gunther still cared a lot about Cornelia and hoped that she would return to him, that Mortimer could come back, that Elliott would be trapped into a room with four walls, five stoves and no toilet, and they could be a family again.

When he wasn't crying then he was burying himself in work even at home. He remembered when he got the news that Cornelia was pregnant and that Elliott was the father. He wasn't even shocked or saddened anymore, he was quickly becoming numb.

Gunther sat in his room thinking about how his life had been flipped upside down when he heard yells coming from the room down the hall. Fearing that a robber had broken into the house, he rushed into the room to discover Cornelia was in labor! He let out a quick scream, it felt as though the entire weight of the world crashed even harder down upon his shoulders! Gunther felt that he had to leave, get some fresh air and away he went, but not before spying Elliott still sleeping through the noise.

He wanted to just run away, maybe move to a different city right at that very second, but he didn't. Instead he just retired to his room and waited. For what he waited, even he wasn't sure. After a while he just lost himself in thought. He considered restarting somewhere else, leaving the Goth mansion behind, giving himself time to find out who he was, to lose the pressure of being from the illustrious Goth family, to maybe find someone that he loved and who loved him, to start again. His thoughts were eventually interrupted, as he received news that Cornelia had given birth to twin girls.

Upon hearing this news Gunther barely reacted, not out of shock or sadness or anything like it, rather he realized...he just didn't care. He was the Goth, the rightful heir to the Goth mansion...but he realized that he truly didn't belong there anymore. Tinges of happiness washed over him, he was free.

The kitchen sink was still broken.

Good Morning folks :)
Morning Eit and Crow and NoTale!
Not sure I want to get into that Sims story after what I've read before :) Someone else read it and check it for any Grim Sadness first :)
Playing Zen-Ichi that was linked to that Shmup thread, I hope it's legally there :) Since it's an awesome game!

Well, at least he left the situation without killing everyone and then himself. Definite win right there.
The ones who stay can deal with the crotchspawn and the bad plumbing.

ElTerprise: Good Morning folks :)
Good morning. =)

How're you doing today?

Good morning. =)

It sounds like the story had a happy ending, ultimately. Bit depressing but the conclusion makes up for it.

Also, congrats on clearing Dragonfall. Now you're ready for Hong Kong. ;)

Good Morning. Still pretty tired but otherwise quite good :)
What about you?
Hello folks! How is everybody?

I'm doing pretty well I must say. Can't seem to settle on a game to play the past day or two besides The Sims 3.

Little bit out of it at the moment, but that's probably due to sleeping too much. It was fun repeatedly dozing off during Godzilla, then waking up and trying to put the plot together, only to fall asleep again and again.

Thanks!
You must have lots of strenght of will to get through that story! :)
I may be ready for it later today..
Not 100% assured that Hong Kong is my next game, though :) Maybe something in-between first.

Doing alright, just a bit hungry... But there's a Chinese Restaurant doing an All-You-Can-Eat for 10 euros... might head there for a quick Mad Eating (tm)...
How are you? Any Epic Games in Progress? :)

Hi!
Been there so many times :)
Good luck finding a good one!
I sometimes go through my Library in gog for the hell of it, and find something interesting.
Or some of the threads in gog offer inspiration, and occasionally there's a link to a freebie :) - as in freeware, not illegal stuff I presume.

and uhm, sometimes is good to put something on your wishlist... :p

Good evening. =)

Can't complain here, just trying to wake up enough to go back to sleep.

At least you're having fun with it. The Sims bored me to tears every time I put it on, ended up playing something else.
