j0ekerr: Was it cloudy? Cloudy days can cause even more sunburn than clear ones. Due to thinking "it's cloudy it shouldn't be so bad"
It kind of is.
As my music teacher liked to tell everyone (why my music teacher? no idea...) "you can still get hypothermia in the summer, and you can still get sunburned in the winter, you moron." One kid showed up to class bright red after snowboarding, having no idea that the sun still shines in the snow :-) It kind of is.
I had no idea about the clouds though.
