Current forecast - continued monotony, but with a massive sense of relief when I'm done. -laughs-

Ernie Banks died :( I just logged out of a fun night of Omerta (finally patched up and able to be played - I cried about this one not too long ago in this very thread) to find out that a classic baseball player died :(
Not sure if you all know, but I love baseball. Ernie Banks is one of those players "before my time" but that I always loved. The association with a classic team (The Cubs), that boyish face, my memories of his card being one of those unattainable but within reach treasures, complete with his swinging three bats in the box - all of it added up to a sort of wonder. For me there are guys that were stars, guys that were superstars and then that "next level" player that was sort of ingrained into the fiber of the game - Ernie Banks was one of them for me. So, I'm hoping I can do a bit of my part in remembering his legend in this post. For love of the game.

Good morning, everyone!
How are you all this lovely cold day (or hot day, if you live down under)?
I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
Hello, innocuous! Welcome to the strange, crazy, fun, friendly, and hug filled world of the Conversational Free-For-All Thread. :-)
P.S. It's hold the fort, not hold down the fort - why would you hold it down, is if full of helium?. You Americans and your butchered English sayings :-). It's also I couldn't care less, not I could care less (the saying means you care 0%, saying I could care less means you at least care 1%). I'm only playing, please don't think I was being mean or trying to cause an argument, I'm just having some silly fun.
*welcome to the thread hug*

CarrionCrow: You're right, the controls are more stiff for Borderlands 1. Borderlands 2 flows better with the shooting.
The mini-map indicators for Borderlands 1 were full of shit at times, to put it bluntly. Remembering all the "find the 4 parts for weapon whatever" missions where the mini-map would say that pieces were in places that they weren't. Ended up using it as nothing more than a general marker.
Also, you're quite welcome. Can't do much, but if I can make someone laugh even when they kinda want to strangle someone, I'll take it. =)

And for the record... (someone's keeping records, yes?) I'm back-reading this thread and ya'll are wonderful.
CC, a friend, recommended that I come here and hang out, share snark, make friends and generally be a human being that doesn't just work. Silly CC.
Anyway.. Hi!
Killer Koalas and Funnel Web Spiders on way...

Hello! How are things down under?
I was just reading the whole GoG will not refund me for unwanted purchase that doesn't run well thread. I love how wacky and derailed threads can get around here. :-)
Don't worry about it, I really was only joking. People use different levels of English on here and all of it is fine. We are generally all nice folks here, so things like language and sayings is nothing important. As long as people are nice to each other, then anyone is welcome here.

OK, taking advantage of bad language:)
I did get the joke, which is why I was joking back. I tend to be flippant, or snarky or one with a dry humor
I do get it wrong from time to time.

That what you get when you let us girls loose on a thread. It's interesting though, when derailing a thread, we ladies tend to make it silly fun, while often the guys turn it into an argument thread. But either way it can be interesting to read. :-)
Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend (or what's left of it for you down under)?
