Tarnicus: I've spent most of winter in the lounge room (where I moved my bed and computer) because there is a slow combustion heater here, and I have it burning almost all the time. I'm adapting slowly and 10°C now feels like a warm day to me and 0°C overnight means it is comfortable. It got as low as -8°C, which isn't something I have experienced before. I've only got mild cabin fever from being stuck indoors :P Take into account that walking is my means of transport, and as a result I am learning to stock up and plan in advance so I don't have to leave the house on the coldest of days. Come summer time it will hit mid to high 30s here, and I can't wait!

Edit: that large snowfall day our town was cut off, all roads close. Something I've only ever experienced due to cyclonic winds and storms.
Although i'm not a friend of them those temperatures are not that uncommon here. Iiirc the lowest i ever experienced was -15°C and it's currently about 16°C here. Which is fine for me. Those high 30°C are nothing for me - can't stand those high temperatures. I'm used to mild temperatures :).
Any idea how you'll ave to deal with that weather?

LeoLR: So I went drinking and driving...
Don't make the same mistake, kids!
What game is that? It looks somewhat familiar....
And it's clear. You need some other beer for driving :P

It's Euro Truck Simulator 2.
I'm pretty sure I'm crazy... I could have sworn Antichamber was on GOG at one point? But... no. No release news, nothing on GOGwiki. So... I'm crazy, right?

By the way, has anyone else played that? It is funky as pluck :-p

It's very fun¹. My guesses are wrong about 83% of the time though :-p

¹ "fun", in this case, is code for : incredibly annoying and makes me want to burn something to the ground.

No, that one hasn't hit GOG yet as far as I know. Got it in a bundle ages ago, will get it again here if it ever shows up.

Well guessing who has posted can be fun, but the problem of the thread hiding posts can be quite annoying.

Same here. It's a fantastic game. Really enjoyed that :D.

I'm solar and ethanol powered, so I do quite well in the heat :) As I age, my aches and pains are exacerbated by the cold and vanish with warmth and movement. The warmer season is much shorter here than the cold season. I live in one of the coldest areas of Australia. I couldn't imagine -15°C! I just checked and the coldest temperature ever recorded in Australia is -23.4°C. The coldest where I live has been -9°C, so it wasn't far off it this year. People often assume that everywhere in Australia is scolding hot, which it is in a lot of places. Mid to high 30s here is nothing on the summer heat waves I experienced in Sydney as a child. Naked and sweating with just a sheet on at night - I don't like that extreme either.

I must be thinking of that... or maybe I saw it on the Humble Store. Apparently they have it DRM-free.

When I finished playing it, I had no interest in ever trying it again. I declared myself "done"... but that was December 21, 2013. Suddenly I have a strange craving to play it again.

It is especially annoying when it is a reply to my post. I hate not being able to see those.

Whose fault is it anyway? ElT's, right? :-)

The problem is what you are drinking, not that you are drinking :P That's not a beer!

Edit: This is a beer :)

I only got started playing it recently and I find it... soothing. I'm loving the game.
And that happened somewhere between Munich and Innsbruck while carrying a cargo of acid.

Maybe you are confounding it with some other game. Like Q.U.B.E. which is visually similar to Antichamber in my opinion.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is ELT's fault. When in doubt, we blame ELT! :-)

Well, that would certainly make sense, seeing that I incorrectly remember Antichamber being here, but have no memory of Q.U.B.E. being here. My brain must have mixed them up. +1 for probably solving that one :-D
