HypersomniacLive: No need to apologise, really; I only wanted to make clear that I'm staying out of that discussion due to being emotionally charged these days and not because I don't understand or care.

CarrionCrow: You can have the "Best of GOG" gift package, including such timeless gems as Fahrenheit, Daikatana, Iron Storm, Phantasmagoria 2, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death, and last but certainly not least, Hatoful Boyfriend!

HypersomniacLive: You left out her all time favourite - Fist Puncher.

budejovice: I love this thread, but seriously, for someone with an internet connection only at work, it is even harder to keep up with than the mafia threads! :)

i.e. this post was already buried pages back.

Good question though. I'm glad this promo is providing some relief to those overwhelmed by all the space combat. My answer: both! Overspent, but I only lacked 2 and their $1.99 price tags were just staring at me. Grabbed. And they look awful. Simon 3d & Personal Nightmare. :)
avatar
HypersomniacLive: What a devilish coincidence, those are the only ones I'm missing!

What setting are you using for posts/ page?
Dear gods, I already own Fist Puncher....didn't even remember buying it, but I looked and surprise surprise, there it was.
I'll have to describe it for you two at some point. ;)

budejovice: I love my newb settings! ;) 20/pg...
You're too long here to still act like a newb! ;-D

Try the 50posts/page - you'll be amazed with how shorter lots of threads become and how much backtracking you'll spare yourself. ;-)

With my internet time constraints, I haven't been doing a lot of backtracking anywhere unfortunately. I have tried other settings, but for whatever reason I prefer the 20. Though I'm starting to get annoyed seeing my posts at the top of pages and a change would cure a lot of that!

I will always be a newb, it's just my personality. ;)
Oh, dear gods...

Never add a packet of synthetic raspberry-flavored powdered carbonated vitamin C supplement to a half cup of cold coffee.

The experience combines visuals that remind me of the kind of crimson algae blooms you might see in polluted Chinese waterways, a smell reeking of artifice and unnatural creations that makes you want to never eat or drink another processed thing in your life, and a taste that obliterates even a darker roast's bitterness and slightly burned flavor to the point that it tastes like someone with no concept of what a real raspberry tastes like created some corrupt facsimile, set it on fire, put it out while it was still smoldering, then forced it down your throat.

EndreWhiteMane: Wise words, the wonder and curiosity are something I'm lacking in. Seem to not be very interested in things like I used to be.
I think my health plays a large part in this so it's where I'm putting my efforts now. If I felt better I'm sure my desire to do things would increase 100 fold.
I know what you mean, as a few years ago I had some serious health issues that were dragging me down too. I cut out all fast foods and soda pop and that helped immensely, with almost immediate results. To my horror, I found out that these two food sources really will kill you (especially the corn syrup laced foods). I didn’t even eat that much fast food, more like treated as a snack food.

Well, I spent the next year fasting a bit, eating once per day and going two days without eating here and there (but making sure to stay hydrated), just to clean out the tubes, and it really made a difference. I still have health issues (just turned 50 last week), and a few bad habits but, I am stable, and require no daily medications. I still have a leaky brain pan though, can’t be helped, as my mind never really shuts off.

Now, if I’m hungry, and there is no good food about, then I go without, as I found modern conveniences of fast foods and soda fountains can be dangerous to our health. :/

I don't like the attention! Not that anyone is paying more attention to what's at the top or anything, but I feel exposed up there. Especially on some slow-burning threads without too many posts. Perhaps just another of my eccentricities. :)

I'll mark that on my list of things not to do then... ;)

I used to eat the orange vitamin C tablets like sweets when I was a kid (because they were delicious) until I realised large amounts of vitamin C have a laxative effect O.o

Boredom? Madness, like Ghostwriter playfully suggested? Bad impulse control? -laughs-

Also, thank you for the compliment. =)
