Hello everyone.

moonshineshadow: Are the Blackwell games really that good? You and Agent are always talking about them but I wanted to reduce my buying of games.
When I played it recently (thanks to LaPtiteBete!) it became my favorite adventure game of all time. (I consider all of the episodes as one big game.)
The story is really outstanding. The characters are really loveable... It's hard to describe without spoiling anything... I'll let the owl try to describe it :-)
For me, it kinda changed the way I look at games. I didn't want to play another game for about a week, and now... I feel a greater appreciation for all video games. (But maybe I am just crazy.)

How are you liking the weekend promo? Any adventure games that catch your eye?

good morning AgentB *big hug* Thanks for that, perhaps I should really add the Blackwell games to my list :-)
Okay, so I'm planning on doing another Star Wars giveaway next week, for the general forum this time. I was thinking about doing a fun "Nerd Edition", where I would pick some questions and a random winner would have to answer those questions in order to win a game. I have a few ideas about it all, but I was not sure it would be a good idea for a giveaway.

Heres what I was planning to do:
1. Ask everyone who is in to PM me at least three trivia questions about Star Wars, as difficult as they can make them.
2. Once I have all the questions from actual Star Wars Nerds :-), I will make a list and pick 10 at random.
3. I will pick a lucky winner and get them to answer 10 questions in 2 minutes (to try to stop them just Googleing the answers). If they post within two minutes of me making my post of questions, then they get the prize. If not, it goes to the next, until I run out of questions. Of course, I would have to check they were online and ready to answer before I post the questions.
4. If no one answers all 10, then it goes to the highest score.

What do you all think of the idea?

Mornoon, dd!

It looks good. I think I might pick up the last couple of Wadjet Eye games that I'm missing.

The first two Simon the Sorcerer games are awesome, IMO. A perfect example of a good old game. :-)
Tesla Effect looks fun.
As well as all the Telltale titles. But I'll wait till the summer promo because I can clean my wishlist of those pesky titles that I forget to buy :)
*hugs*

[hard to type with a cat using my wrist as a pillow]

They do look pretty cool. They look a bit like King's Quest in regards to all of the cliches and fairy tales, but with a more humorous tone. (Is this thought accurate at all?)

Yep. They have a lot of humor. That is one of the reasons the third one is so bad. It lacked the humor of the previous games. But the first to are really great and definitely worth their price.

Same question.

Problem is this leaves me with the question, StS or SW Rebellion although I really can't afford either at this point. :P

Sounds interesting. And it will be fun to see with what questions all these Star Wars fans will come up :D

Good morning DD,Crow and gunsynd.
Good morning. =)

Leisure Suit Larry and a movie sounds like a good plan.

Think it'll be Soulstorm and Red Dwarf for me.

I have POD schematics on my wall. I have a Vader bobble head on my monitor. I have a Mos Eisley hat on my bookshelf. I'm drinking coffee out of a Vader cup. I have a giant Empire logo on my car. Bite your tongue! :P

So what about an R2D2 lamp? Unless you have that I am not sure I will listen to you :P

Try typing on a touch screen when outside in the freezing cold :-).

You are correct, they are quite comical games. But fun and challenging as well (as challenging as a point and click game can be anyway). Just be sure to mute the music. The first game has no subtitles for the English version and the GOG version has the music so loud that you can't hear the voice actors (one of which is Chris Barrie, from the BBC comedy Red Dwarf).
