AgentBirdnest: Honestly... absolutely terrible. Full of panic, depression, OCD, a killer headache, and I am getting pissed off at everyone and everything. Struggling to find a reason why I should still be awake.
avatar
Stilton: Well, you have us if that's any consolation, and hopefully the knowledge that you've been in that place before and it goes away eventually, at least for a while. Stay strong, AdentB :-)
Thanks. It really is comforting to have you guys and gals here. I always think of that one song when I open this thread.

moonshineshadow: That sounds bad. May I propose you either go to play a game you like or that you really just go to sleep *hug*
*hugs back*
I tried playing my safety games, but Tropico and Kabuto couldn't help me today. Just not a gaming day for me. Not even keks or Biz Markie helped - and Biz Markie always helps :(
Leaning towards sleep.
I can't believe this whole thing was triggered by me taking the damn garbage to the curb :P

Geez... Sorry to be such a downer here. I don't have anyone to talk to in person, so it sometimes all comes out on the forums.

CarrionCrow: It's a 90 percent off deal. Helps to grease the wheels of coincidence a bit. -laughs-

j0ekerr: Quite so I was just being paranoid, now hold still for the cavity search. I have to make sure the saturnine mice have not implanted hidden microphones on you.

*snap of latex gloves*

As for bargains; I'm glad I got DLC Quest for about the same money as a bag of sunflower seeds.
Pal, I started my day with coffee and Taco Bell. You put that bunny hand anywhere that necessitates gloves and it'll never be the same upon its return, protective layers or no. -laughs-
(Also, oddly enough, why does Humble sell Volgarr for two dollars less than GOG? Seemed a bit strange when I noticed it.)

j0ekerr: According to wikipedia, you are entirely right. The "magneto" part in the name comes from the devices being identified as hard drives by the OS.

Trust a marketing drone to bullshit, and you won't be disappointed.

Edit: Further reading, indicates that there was a substantial amount of magnetism involved. And that the recording layer was in fact a ferromagnetic material.
Yes, I do recall there actually being a magnetic component to MO discs. It was the optical part I was unsure about, since magnetism and laser-etching would seem to be a pretty incompatible mix (especially given how magnetic data responds to heat).

Nowadays they would just excuse the product by having Ian McKellen appear in the commercial. :)

Nah don't worry about that. This is our conversion thread so you can talk to us about stuff :-)

adaliabooks: Great :)

Glad you got your parcel, does that mean we have to stop bashing the postal service now?

And thanks for reminding me to check out the humble bundle sales, I think my poor finances can probably stretch to some of the ridiculous low prices I saw earlier.
Nope, Stilton getting his parcel doesn't make them grow brains all of a sudden. They're still posties and should be treated accordingly. With care and a long stick.

I agree with what moonshineshadow said, feel free to talk about anything you like, anything goes in this thread. And just like moonshineshadow, let me give you a big hug. * hug *

That's exactly the image I had in my mind when I wrote an earlier post (#56) on this thread. Funny and nice how it feels like that here. I wonder if CarrionCrow looks like Ted Danson....

It's done by magic.

Stilton: Any couldn't care less postal worker will do ;-)
Do they have to be exclusively from the UK? I have a few I could throw into the mix. ;-)

No worries, feel and act as with any person in the physical world you'd be comfortable to share.

If it doesn't come out it stays in, and that's not good. So let it out! You're among friends, remember ;-)

Not even close. -laughs- Just some random weirdo on the internet, that's me. ;)

You don't have to apologize. Would be full of shit to tell you, "Oh yeah, it'll always be better talking with people here", but you don't ever have to apologize for being human and having a bad time, for whatever reason.

So who's Kirstie Alley? And do we get a Frasier Crane?

Stilton, I have the perfect role for you. You get to play Cliff Clavin.
