gunsynd: Would you believe it,just finished mowing the lawn and they ask me do I need a hand or job done around the house:-)
Rofl. I nearly spat water all over my laptop. I misread that and thought the Mormans were coming to your door offering you handjobs.... XD

On the whole subject of America and guns, I never really got it. I think Crow's description is exactly right and some people seem to believe that having a rifle in their closet will stop the government from oppressing them... which, as Crow accurately explained, is clearly ridiculous. It baffles me when you see people interviewed who completely deny any connection between American gun laws and gun crime rates... We have maybe a few dozen gun related murders in the UK a year (probably a little higher than that, they don't always make the national news I suppose) yet some cities in America have that in a month, yet people will claim there is no correlation.

EndreWhiteMane: I think the coldest ambient, without wind chill was -19 so 64 real degrees. Like traveling the globe by staying in one spot.

CarrionCrow: Sounds like great fun, aside from the whole freezing to death thing. ;)

Also, I can see why you didn't get into Lords of Xulima. It's got a difficulty curve like a brick wall and everything ends up feeling like scraping for things - scraping for food, scraping for money, scraping for XP.
I've been waiting for you to comment on that. I'll certainly give it a go again but I'm gonna wait till I get a bit more experience.
Even reading all the documentation just gave me a headache. :) I have paper books on both Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights and they seem to make more sense to me, think I'll try those as my 'hardcore' RPGs first. :-)
Had a bad last couple of days here so I'm just playing 'fun and dumb' stuff for right now, like LSL. ;)

Don't worry. Masochist as well. Every man who wields a whip should at one time or another know what it's like to be whipped by one. -)

Only thing I'll say on that is that 99.9% percent of gun related crimes are committed with unregistered (illegal) guns. The gun >laws< have no effect on that. It's >gun control< which is is both needed, and pretty much impossible. It's just like drugs being completely illegal, but very easy to get. Very gnarly situation.
I'll shut up now.

Yeah, it was a double take moment... the perils of a filthy mind.

One of my favorite actor's is Charton Heston, but his view on guns made me give him a slight minus..
*carefully peeks into the thread* Hmmm... strange discussions going on here, better to stay hidden *hides*

My "home protection" is a large dog and a short baseball bat. Haven't owned a firearm for 30 years. :-)
Without an actual change to the US Constitution the whole situation is a difficult one.
And that's about the last word of politics you'll ever hear from me, I like to keep my friends. :-)

My "home protection" is a welcome mat. If people really want to kill me, I won't stop them. They probably have a good reason.

Well, I'd definitely say that I've had more fun with games like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale.
Limited ways to earn XP + limited money + limited equipments + limited skill points + limited food + numerous fights that will kill you in one or two rounds = NOT FUN.
