CarrionCrow: Didn't get to sleep until even later than I intended. Told someone I would make some discs for them before they had to go to work, then dozed off, so I got to spend an extra hour doing that half-awake and bleary-eyed.
Hopefully I managed to do them without screwing something up in the process.
If so, I'll be making them all over again. -laughs-

It's a quiet day here, which I'll take any day of the week over some kind of ridiculous nonsense.
Thankfully, living in the middle of nowhere does tend to have that perk. =).

It saves them money overall, so I don't mind doing it.
They pay for the items, supply me with the discs and sleeves, I do the actual downloading since they don't have a computer or internet, then burn the stuff for them and try really hard to remember what I'm doing so I don't mess stuff up. -laughs-

Maybe you're less cynical.

Not a bad thing, by the way. Hell, there's a part of me that can envy that ability.

Figuring it's a bit too late in the game for my mindset to change, but if you've got that, then more power to you. =)

I'd like to think there isn't some degree of inherent menace to my demeanor that makes them more receptive to a simple, pleasantly presented shutting down of the conversation they're trying to have, so that should work for you as well. =)

Would you believe it,just finished mowing the lawn and they ask me do I need a hand or job done around the house:-)

I prefer Dr. Pepper personally.
Coke always seems to have an odd, almost fruity flavor to it that's a little off-putting in a cola.
But then again, Dr. Pepper starts tasting like tea to me when it's warm and flat.
Maybe my taste buds are just shot from decades of soda, spicy food and cigarettes. -laughs-
