pimpmonkey2382.313: I'll say the driving is much more confusing in the remake than it is in the original though.

ElTerprise: In what regard? And would you recommend to play the original first?

CarrionCrow: -laughing hard- You are simultaneously making me want to play Valkyria Chronicles a lot more, and a lot less.

pimpmonkey2382.313: Just harder to navigate, you can sometimes get your directions mixed up. Yeah I would go with the original first.

ElTerprise: Well gameplay of it is quite good from what i've played but the story....well anime bullshit...

CarrionCrow: It'd help the game if it was at least good anime. But from what I've seen and how it's been described, they've gone with the tropey, cliche-riddled generic crap that sets my nerves on edge.

ElTerprise: Well i actually don't remember much of it. I played a bit of it but that must've been in january....the setting was quite interesting though. Alternative europe in the 1930s....

CarrionCrow: Agreed, that does sound interesting.
I'm going to run through it regardless. If nothing else, I've played a hell of a lot worse things than games with annoying characters. ;)

ElTerprise: Well the setting and the premise was the reason i bought it because i'm not really a fan of anime. And i must admit that the watercolour aesthetics are great. I think i'll also give it a second try at some point. So you already rented it?

CarrionCrow: Yes, I grabbed it off of Humble a while back.
But at the very least, I need to get through Retro City Rampage (which is striking me as terribly mediocre while showing me that I really don't carry some irrational flame for 8-bit graphics and sound design) and Vampire Redemption (a game already proving to be potentially infuriating) first.
