Hello! How are you today?

avatar
XxXSprayvWarXxX: Hello DD, how are you?
avatar
ddickinson: Good, thank you. And you?

avatar
Stilton: I wonder what percentage of overall sales these slow burn phases make for GOG. People can dip in when they want (not that things have been at all rushed this time around) and guiltlessly buy a cheapie here and there and spend another £20 quite easily by sale's end. Its the harmless bunny method. You give the thing a little stroke and before you know it you're taking it home with you.
avatar
ddickinson: Another one with a new face. Moon is not going to like this when she gets back. :-)

Good day, Stilton. How is your weekend so far?
I'm fine too! I wonder now what's these Larry games about?

Good day, Stilton. How is your weekend so far?
Pretty good, thank you ;-) Done some tidying, salading, planning some exercise for later, making sure mini V is fed and watered (life on the farm, eh?) and generally taking things in a pleasantly relaxed fashion.

How about you?

XxXSprayvWarXxX: I'm fine too! I wonder now what's these Larry games about?
They are supposed to be quite fun, very tongue-in-cheek. The Magna Cum Laude game is not said to be good, but the other two are not bad, apparently.

Sounds like a nice day so far.

I am good, thank you. I have a bit of muscle ache and I am quite tired, but not doing bad. I am working for another few hours, but then I get my lovely evening tonight and all of Sunday to look forward to.

Any games catch your eye from the sale?

ddickinson: Nostalgia? Perhaps. But you watch one of the new X-Men or Spiderman cartoon episodes and you tell me the older ones were not better. I have never liked Spiderman, or many of the other superheroes. Not that I have seen many, I did not watch much TV when I was younger, and I watch even less now.
If by new cartoons you mean for example the ultimate spider-man one, yes I agree, that one is utter crap. Not so the spectacular spider-man one which is imho the best cartoon version ever produced of the character, and orders of magnitude better than the 90's one. As for the X-Men ones I never got around to watching the Evolution one but it received some rather good reviews, I'd rate it as highly at least as the older one from hearsay alone.

No definitely not all new cartoons are great, but neither are they trash, some are good, some are bad and some are even better than what came before.

Fair enough.

Are you feeling better now, by the way? I hope you have reovered nicely?

l0rdtr3k: Buy Larry,then.
Ah Larry, he told me all I needed to know about women. Particularly that if you don't wear a condom when engaging in economically retributed sex, your penis will explode in a dramatic fashion.

I've been asking myself the same question and trawling through the lists for any potential pearls I might have missed. My wishlist has swollen a fair bit, but there's nothing right now that I'm gagging for. There'll be other sales, so my current wants will be something to look forward to. I'd like to get mini V Shelter 2 (she really enjoyed the first one) but being a true Brit I like a bargain and can wait until it (hopefully) drops in price a little. It seems the only difference between standard and special versions is the inclusion of a soundtrack in the latter. Have you played Shelter? Being an animal person you'd probably get a lot out of it.

Actually yes a lot better, completely recovered by now. Thank you very much for asking.

On a completely unrelated note, either my neighbour upstairs is jumping on his bed, or he is having the most neighbourly-conscientious sex I've ever heard. Not a single moan.

So, on the run from giant kaijus then?
Nope but I did play it back in its day.

Every time I see that face I find myself reflexively saying: "¿Qué?"

¿Qué?

I didn't know Torquay had vikings.

I own Shelter, but have yet to play it. My games played vs games owned is not looking good. Too little time and too many games. :-)

Did you and your mini Viking enjoy Shelter 1? I think you are right to wait, I am sure a better discount will appear in a future sale. And think of all the extra games you could buy with the money you save. :-)

They are often on sale, so I am sure you will get your chance.

Got as a freebie. Still prefer 4,though.
