ddickinson: How did the job appointments go? What were they for, if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you, hopefully things will improve for me soon.
They went very well :)
I'm still doing the surveys on the train, i.e. counting and interviewing passengers :).

GreenDamsel: Only on English keyboards. German keyboards have z and y swapped (+some other changes due to äöüß)

EDIT: Fuck. You said QWERTY. I'll see myself out. We got QWERTZ. -.-
Oh, funny... We've got AZERTY keyboards in France :)

nooooonnn! et tu, brute :(

I really cannot work with AZERTY (and we have both AZERTY and QWERTY in Belgium) :)

ddickinson: Good day, everyone!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying some lovely weather?

*tired hugs and silly waves*
DD !!! .....
**Crushing hug**
I read you only slept one hour or so... and not at all the previous night... :-( I wonder how you can even stand...

Glad to hear they went well. Are you free to relax the rest of the day now?

Hello, Owl! *tried to resist crushing hug, but too tired*

I have lots of work to do, I can't let people down just because I am tired.

How are you? Did you have a nice lunch?

*big return tired hug*

AgentBirdnest: Thanks! I saw that you were doing well earlier... is that still the case? :-)
I'm guilty of trying to buy a game I own... not in this sale, but I think during insomnia. It's always funny, embarrassing, exciting, and a bit depressing at the same time for me :-|
Nothing for me today... It seems that today's sale has more games in my backlog than any other day :-| Maybe I'll play something today instead of buying...
**Embarrassed about backlog hug**
Hey :)
... Not really. I just had a ninja-appointment with our staff... we learnt that one of our beloved colleagues will quit the office (to work with her husband)... :'-| ...... I feel... empty. I haven't been there for long (almost a year now) ; but she has been there for more than 12 years now... We'll all miss her a lot... well.
What game will you play ?
**Random hug back**

I'll compose a soothing lullaby, that might work ;)

I really hope you can get a good rest soon though, sleep is crucial to your physical and mental wellbeing :/

Why ?? ô__ô does it make such a big difference ??
Oh my god. Thank you so much. That's the best advice I've gotten... ever, actually.
My biggest problem in that regard is that my player group is sadly kind of... naive. I had a lot of intrigue planned into the story, but instead of e.g. picking up the notebook of a minion who's managing the trading for a dubious enterprise, which sent killers after them, after I pointed out that there is said notebook, they prefer to go back into a brothel. So I'm a bit frustrated as well, about all the stuff I wrote not being used basically. I ain't nice enough to alter their ending: They are pretty much fucked because knowledge is power and they skipped all information bits. Well, just imagine the attention span of CoD players skipping every cinematic. I have to admit that the group constellation is a bit problematic: 3 guys / 1 girl really motivated and trying to get stuff done and 1 gf doing a cod speedrun.
Kind of another reason for my burnout: frustration.

So i guess, taking your advice, I shall introduce more simple mission design, less multi-layered intrigues. But I'll stick to the bad ending that I wrote. Choices have been made after all. :)

Thanks again. Me venting felt nice as well ^^

Oops, sorry... :-|
**More loose hug**
I know you can't, but... :-( **sigh**.
I'm ok. Just learnt that my colleague quits us in a couple months, we all feel a bit lost and sad right now.
I hope you'll sleep much more and better than this, tonight....

That's better. I can breathe with that hug. :-)

I will be okay, no need to worry.

Sorry to hear your colleague is leaving, I hope it's for a nice new job and not because of anything bad?

*more tired hugs*

ddickinson: Have you picked up some nice games form the sale? I hope you got yourself some games as well as gifting others. You deserve to treat yourself now and then.

*big tired hug*
*big energising hug* I did pick up a few games, but my ninja gifting is lacking. Only two people so far, I need to catch up on that once I am home :D

I remember when I was in France for a student exchange and desperately tried to send email, only to realize that I got the addresses wrong each time, because muscle memory only worked for a QWERTZ keyboard. People went to check if their internet was working for a solid 2 hours.

Mostly...will have sports in the evening :).

Happy to oblige! ;)

try to get down to the level of your clique a bit more, and then slowly work up. But if done well, it's my experience a simple plot often works just as well as a big one, with somewhat less effort from both DM and players.

And I know what you're talking about, it happened to me a few days ago ;)
