moonshineshadow: Awww... poor Hyper :D You want to tell us some tales how everything used to be better? :P
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Well, back in my days, ... nah, not really, I'd rather let you kids talk, not in a particularly sunny mood today. :-)
ok :D Do you want a hug and some cookies?

HypersomniacLive: The things kids say when they think no adults are around monitoring... ;-P
Quick, it's old man Hyper, let's get out of here before he throws his walking stick at us! :-)

Good morning, Hyper!

Don't worry, you're only as old as you feel. Sorry to hear you're not too good today.

I completely misread that at first, and was quite baffled. XD

I've edited it a little now, just in case anyone makes the same mistake ;-).

That looks better. Nicely done :-)
Let us discuss games.

Most of everything in the weekly bundle seems notoriously average, but none are bad either.

What do you guys think?

j0ekerr: Meanwhile Guillermo del Toro keeps getting studioblocked to do "In the mountains of madness" because some executive idiot insists it must be PG13. Probably the same guy who cancelled Firefly.

Let the hate flow through you.

In other news. Dark Souls 2 has finally dropped below the 20 buck boundary line. Which is the point at which I consider buying games for the console.

Should I spend my money on it, knowing that there will be a shitload of DLC coming out for it later that I won't be able to get unless I buy a bloody season pass. Thus seemingly backing up that heinous and obnoxious practice of selling a videogame in installments. Or should I wait until a discount, GOTY edition is available?

Oh what the hell, I want to play it now.
not sure if this helps at all but Ink is for sale as you probably know, compared to Pan's Labyrinth... Tomatometer 100%... But then again it's a 2009 movie and lots of indie-aware people unlike me have probably seen this already.

What? You want to talk about games!? Where do you think you are, this is no place for game talk! :-)

I have never played any of the games in the weekly bundle, and due to them being steam only, I won't get the chance even if I wanted to try them. It seems that a lot of the recent bundles have been steam only.

I noticed that the main bundle has been saying coming soon for a while, I thought they used to refresh instantly, not make everyone wait for a week before the next bundle?

Except for Nuclear Dawn and SG2, I haven't heard of any of them, and have no interest in them.
I played Nuclear Dawn during a free weekend, and I was extremely disappointed. The RTS/FPS combo didn't seem to work at all. Everyone just ran around shooting like in any other team deathmatch game, while the RTS aspect was completely ignored.
What do you think of today's gem bundle promo? Are any of the games in the bundle worth trying?

I second that question, have none of the games and I am quite unsure if they are worth trying.

I haven't heard of any of these either.
I'm really out of touch with current video games. I'm not sure if that is bad or good...

It's a nice change to have a small random sale like this, rather than big long flash sales. I'm looking forward to the good old weekend promo, hopefully it will be a nice mixture of games.

As for the games in the bundle, there are none that scream out at me, but I thought I would see if some the games were any good and worth a closer look.
Mornin' everyone, hey, who the hell's been on my lawn???

Good morning, and congratulations on the new name!

(Okay, so not exactly new, but it is the first time I have chatted with you using the new name).
